You need to first have http://yoursite.com point to www.yoursite - look up 301

You need better title tags - Your focusing on a stupidly high targeted keyword, go for long tail keywords - google it

You have hardly any content at all - Have you copy/pasted from another site ?

Nothing at all - it's borderline the worst site for seo I have ever seen


Quite poss one of the worst sites I have seen, surely a wordpress site would be better?
 
ive actually been thinking about using wordpress but was going to ask does the site have to be live to make in wordpress or can i make a site via wordpress then upload it?

what about this site iphonefourfree.co.uk has that got any on site seo?

install wordpress, then do a search for "mobile news wordpress theme" that should help you a lot and it's free.
don't forget to download some seo plugins.
 
Neither site you have mentioned above has any SEO value ATM.

Lol it doesn't matter what sites got good SEO, you can't just copy a site with good on-page SEO and expect to get #1 for a keyword with very high competition.

Learn what your doing before you begin, install wordpress and create your OWN content that isn't duplicated then go and read on getting backlinks.
 
You must first stop copying content. Google Hates copied content.. Also try googling on onsite seo and get some ideas first.

You must learn a lot before you start targeting seo.
 
Yea, use wordpress. MUCH more SEO friendly. You can use static pages to achieve almost the same thing if you only want to have few pages.. I mean of course you can make your own site if you want, it's just wordpress is way more friendly to the bots that look at ur page. Points them in all the right directions and ranks your page better.

What you wanna make sure u do, espeecially in niche like that. Is have unique content. You can't just create a website, post other ppl's content and expect yours to rank better just because.. Otherwise I would make 10,000 autoblogs in every single niche on the planet and be billionaire. Google likes authority from backlinks or unique content. Pick one of the two.
 
What other search engines are there apart from google, yahoo, aol and bing?
 
Go with a .com with the keyword in it (unless you are trying to rank in the UK then you are OK), get some high quality do-follow backlinks, make sure you have H1 and Title tag set to your keyword! Enjoy :)
 
Do I have to have a domain and web hosting set up or can I make the web site using word press then upload it to a domain?
 
Most hosts use cpanel where you can install wordpress there!

I would highly suggest that you read, read and read and then start a site - You are going about this the completely the wrong way
