I will be documenting my OFM / AI OFM journey here whenever I can. I decided to write this because I realized I can destress a little bit doing it. So here I go:

Started OFM in March 2023, it's a long story I won't get into much detail. Let's say I was a bit successful. I didn't become rich but I made enough money to pay the bills and give myself some luxury items. I experimented with different traffic sources, found some that worked, worked with different models. After some time, some of these traffic sources stopped working or got patched and my models left or I stopped working with them because they were lazy.

Fast forward to present day, 2 years and 6 months later. I am now doing AI OFM to see how it goes. Actually, I started back in June - Found out how to make AI characters. Researched about training Loras, checkpoints, Comfyui. Used Mimicpc because I have a mid tier PC and sometimes you need higher tiered hardware. Created a Fanvue in July. Started doing Threads. My profile got a lot of followers quickly. I created another profile that surpassed my previous profile in terms of followers. Made $1.3k in July.

I was posting every day in these profiles. Also uploaded reels to IG but I saw more success with Threads. I wasn't getting a consistent flow of subs daily though, so I decided to spend my time in August in finding the best ways to scale Threads since that was the method that was working for me. I created profiles, they got banned, debated between using bots or VAs. My new profiles didn't get the growth I was looking for. My Fanvue stagnated.

Now is September 16. I paid for IG ads to try to get a new real model. I have a potential lead. My main Threads profiles stopped pulling in the numbers. I am still debating between just doing IG or do 50 Threads profiles and hire VAs to grow them. I don't know if it will be worth it though. I spent time testing the best way to not get banned right away in Threads and I think I found the solution to that. I am also testing how many comments I can make per day since that seems like the best way to grow initially. I realized that Threads is kinda based on luck - or maybe I'm wrong.

It is overwhelming. I don't wanna spend months doing things organically. I wanna find the fastest way to get some income. I have a bit of a budget to invest but I gotta be smart about it. I have 3 IG profiles, and thinking about uploading content to them daily. Same thing with Threads - 3 profiles, making posts every day to see if one gets viral but I'm starting to lose hope on that.

It is stressing thinking about what I can do. Anyways I will be updating this thread periodically, whenever I can

Thanks for sharing, I'll test this.

What’s the smallest test you can run today that either proves income or kills the idea in 7 days?
build a 1-page landing, cheap IG ad to a $7 offer or lead magnet, run traffic for 7 days, track real subs and payers. if it pays, double. if not, scrap creative or offer not the whole funnel.

Hmmm I don't know about paying for IG ads, is it not better to have organic traffic?

I've read that IG ads actually help you get more organic traffic. For new accounts, it helps them find their target audience more quickly, and it starts recommending your post to people who are likely to be interested in your niche. I'd give them a try if I were you.

Look into making videos for your AI models, then post them on to Instagram reels. If the video has a good hook and other factors, then you can get very good reach on reels.

Threads has always been one of my best traffic sources, when I do it manually. I've tried to use VA's & botters to drive me traffic but it seems like it only works when I'm the one putting in time and effort. Threads is great, however like you i don't want to be running these accounts organically since the roi on my time just isn't there. Have you tried reddit traffic?

no and I won't until I figure out how to get good traffic from Threads. Seems smarter to focus and scale one traffic source at a time

Tough journey, but you've already proven you can make things work. That initial Threads success is key – dig into exactly what made those profiles explode. Was it timing, content type, specific comments? Replicate that winning formula carefully on a smaller scale first before trying to multiply it.

what made u quit? I found it interesting, what difficults did u find?

I'd assume he quit due to not finding any model go work with as that is by far the hardest part of OFM
it's not the hardest part, traffic is the hardest. If you mean finding a really good model well then yes that can also be as hard as traffic

I have never had problems with traffic...finding models on the other hand has proven a huge challenge...This largely depends on country you operate from and in
