My Offline Success Story

I'll keep it brief - I've been lurking forever and studied and studied but never really acted. I don't know how many domains i bought and abandoned.
Then one day I had to do something - I couldn't work at my 'real' job much anymore - long story
I reached out through my network and started small - writing content, opinion on breaking video game products for a growing video game website -I'd bill $1000 a month, not bad for a side job still at the time. My break came after a year or so after I proved myself and some other senior writers had defected to other sites.
I was given more tasks, some video and was able to creep that up to 2500 - still not enough to be independent but a nice start. Anyway I leveraged that - put out some great written stuff about certain up and coming video game and related tech companies when they gave me good feedback I suggested perhaps I could do the same for your company. about ten months later I finally got my first client and I haven't looked back - this gig I put out 2-3 strong pieces weekly as sort of a ghost writer for another 2000 it goes on their company blog and newsletters, its theirs to keep -
Then another company came along through a friend I know through a user group - I do a number of media campaigns for another development group that is local in my town, email, web content, Linkedin and Twitter - I bill them about 4000/month or so depending on the work done that month - and they love it.
They referred me to another company and these guys are even bigger. I just sent them a bid for 7500 a month and I'm bringing my brother into this to help me. I got really serious about this maybe 9 months ago and I'll never work for anyone again - fuck that noise. I have more referrals on the way too.
I'm not bragging I want to inspire some of you who dare to listen -This is not bullshit go out and do it -
Find your passion and just fuckin do it. It might be video games, it might be guns, it could be food, it might be landscaping but if there's something you know really well or want to - become an expert, say you're an expert, leverage your network, get some cheap business cards, join a local club, whatever - just get out there and you'll be shocked how fast this gets around. again I wear a few hats now with what you could call marketing, some seo, some social media, and content writing - I don't know what it is i do officially but I know I love doing it.

  [*=1]I only have open-ended contracts for two of the companies, never had a problem
  [*=1]they all pay my business acct directly by EBT- no checks.
  [*=1]Go get Quickbooks or use some online software.

Congrats on your success! But I think you need to make your ONLINE content writing somewhat legible to read.
Make sure to add some Space between the lines.

Really great and congrats for your success , I applied directory submission and got good number of quality back links to my website . They provide daily updated listings of top ranked websites . which help you a lot in good link building.

Very inspiring. People who want to quit their 9 - 5 routine just need to get off their asses if they want to be rich. Screw facebook, youtube and porn sites (lol) and just pitch your tent here.

It took me a while but don't give up. I just had another company reach out on LinkedIn they want me to pitch to them.
This one came through my brother of all places but still. Anyway that goes to show to work your network!!
