Hi there,
I built a website one year and 3 months ago. Yesterday I got hit badly by google. I know barely git 10 page views and I used to get 70 to 100 page views daily. I think the main reason is that I used 3rd party link exchange as the main way of link building (someone link to my website and I link to them from another website).

The question is here:
1. Is there anything I can do to recover? like disavowing all my backlinks? Except for maybe 5 to 10 strong ones?
2. The website contains around 60 articles. Can I just deindex the pages and remove them from my website and start a new website with the same articles?

Thanks in advance!

They link to you > you link to them from another website right? there is no way that caused an issue at all. A three way link exchange is impossible to detect.

Just hold on, don't do anything at all. Let it sit for a few weeks, your rankings may just bounce back.

Now the real question, how good is your content? Did you actually spend time on it or just outsourced it to whatever writer?

Yes disavowing links will help.

Yes, this is what I did regarding link building. I was buying guest posts from websites for 5 to $10 (link farms) and linking from these websites to someone's website and then receiving a link from him. Every guest post contained around 3 links to websites that I get links from.

Regarding my content. Yes, my content was pretty well written and I put much time and effort into it. Recently, I was paying a writer to write for me and I was checking the quality of his content. But, it was only 10 pieces of articles that didn't even started to rank.

Without panic you have to check your backlinks quality and metrics. Spam score ie.
Backlinks ar important nowdays too but its very different for past link building strategies. If someone is placing a lot of automated backlinks for you it will increase your spam score not rankings.
1 quality niche relevant link = 100 quality non niche relevant.
And the most safe way is social pages to boost ranking

Just sit back and wait. A lot of sites are getting hit. Either it is a massive algorithm change and/or google is intentionally hitting new sites with a "stress test" to see how webmasters react (some will remove links, which will tell google that they did link building and then they will penalize it).

Just keep pushing content. Don't make big changes and wait.

I will wait a month or two and see where it goes. What if nothing changed? Can I reuse the article on another new website?

Okay, this is a great tip honestly. I was just going to remove most of my links. Thanks for saying this!

I wouldn't advice such manipulations.
A lot of people are in the same situation so waiting is a good idea.
But anyways, you have to check your backlinks right now and dont spend the time. Just throw away spammy links as soon as possible.

After waiting around 3 months and nothing changed. I will deindex the site and remove all the articles.

Can I use these same articles on a new website with a new domain?

I wouldn't do that. But stop thinking about it. At first you have to determine what is the problem. Maybe its even content, Its less likely but possible as you have no idea whats going on now. The most likely such drops are coused from SERPs rotation or from toxic links. Its your chance now to determine the problem and fix it. You will get good experience too. Otherwise, Even if you will be allowed to create new site now with the same content you will face again the same problem.
How many backlinks you have? Do you know how to check them?

I have 320 backlinks from 183 domains. A lot of them were syndicated pickups from a guest post that I did in the past. I am not very experienced in checking backlinks and I think that my content is high quality (I hope so). I can PM you the link of my website, so you can take a look if that would help!

Ok.
Include Serp impression screen with CTR and keywords ranking too.
