Hi,

In this post, you might not find any secret tips because i am just a newbie.
But anyway let's get started.

4 days ago, I have set up my niche blog. It targets a 2-word keyboard with 15k local (US) search 33k global. this is an exact match. It has a low CPC $0.4. Medium competitors with page rank 1-4. Youtube, wikipedia, amazon is on the front page :(

But this niche is my own interests, so I would actually like to blog about it myself.
So I wrote 4 500+ unique articles.

Today, they are shown on the search engines.
The results are not amazing but,

keyword1 (2 word, exact match, global 33k local 15k): G:500+ Y:493 B:102
keyword2 (3 words, exact match, global 2k local 1k): G:500+ Y:40 B:15

Not sure why google hates me. But bing loves me. Any one tried this, or know why?
I do not have any traffics yet, unfortunately.

Advertise on BHW
Give it time
Set up some backlink profiles, I always find google much easier to rank than bing for some reason.
Submit to some high PR article sites
Make a simple you tube video and out rank them. super easy to do. Make sure you tag all the vids correctly.
and if its a blog niche you interested remember to have fun.


p.s. when you say theres a 'medium competitors' if that's from the google key words tool that means its medium competition for advertisers not how difficult it'll be to rank. so you want to find the medium to high ones
 
i meant medium seo competition, that is with PR 1-4, but not 0-2 in the first page :P

day5 Adding social signals on twitter, g+, fb

kw ranking for ref

setup facebook, g+, twitter profile and added the social buttons on the blog.
promoted in the niche g+ group.

not much done today. going to write another blog post tomorrow.
 
day7
bought blast_seo gig on social signals for g+, fb. hopefully i can review it 5 days later
wrote a 500w+ blog post myself.

email opt in went from 0 to 1 subscriber.
 
day8
I got rejected by adsense
they said it's not following adsense policy or webmaster quality.
Might be related to my content. I got < 10 posts right now.

Wrote another 500w+ blog post.
 
day9
As google is still keeping my testing pages and did not crawl my blog posts.
i decided to use google webmaster tools.
added requests for removing old pages
and submitted sitemap, used the "fetch as google"
 
google finally indexed my blog.
keyword1 (2 word, exact match, global 33k local 15k): G:500+ Y:347 B:17
keyword2 (3 words, exact match, global 2k local 1k): G:26 Y:42 B:10
 
week 2

Added two blog posts for product review. 1 news syndication.
A minor improvements on kw2.

keyword1 (2 word, exact match, global 33k local 15k): G:500+ Y:500+ B:500+
keyword2 (3 words, exact match, global 2k local 1k): G:24 Y:5 B:500+
 
Week 3
used serpfox.
serp is higher. but there's still not much traffic.
Thinking of methods to boost it to the first page. probably more web 2.0 backlinks?

Week 4

got 3 potential sales
but google honeymoon is over.
2 tracked keywords went out of 500. :(

get back to work
