My New Strategy - Advice and Opinions

I registered an EMD for my primary keyword, I have let it build up 6 months of age so far.

I have now registered 30 EMDs (a mix of .com, .net and .org) over 15 related keywords. I have my own private blog network of 50 sites (PR2 to 4, age from 2 years to 14 years,OBL of around 6) that I intend to use to power the 30 domain. On each of the domains I'll make a mini site with unique content and my standard webform to capture details. I'll also have a backlink pointing at my main site.

After I registered the domains I had thoughts that it may be a bit of a silly idea as instead of pointing 50 aged domains at my site, I'll now be pointing 30 new domains. The arguement to counter that is that I'll have 30 domains all relevant to my niche, that will gain good PR from the blog network. On top of that I'm sure to dominate the SERPS for those 15 other keywords and that will bring good traffic and conversions.

I'm looking for advice or opinions?

You're strategy is interesting,but isn't a bit too expensive? Just sayin'...

It's not really that expensive. 50 sites were about $1500 and the 30 sites were $350

I was looking at buying PR 4 to 6 links on blogs relating to my niche and they were talking anywhere from $150 to $800 for a year!! So I don't think it's that expensive to be honest.

I would say that you should point the aged domains to your site! But, the cookie in the fortune is, the new domains are relevant to your niche.

At the end, both should work fine from my point of view! Only way to find this - GO FOR IT!

It's a service that we provide so each sale that we get in worth quite a bit to us. Hence the reason that we are able to throw quite a bit at the initial investment.

The 30 EMDs are all 50 to 500 exact searches a month, nothing special but they are low comp and if we even get a sale from it then we are very happy.

Actually its the best strategy and every one of us who believe in long term result try to find this type of strategies. but either luck or budget don't support us!
Without any doubt you will get good SERP and PR very soon.

lol honestly, this is a dumb strategy. A lot of sites that did this mess are dead in the water...
However, spending that much for domains with PR is just ludicrous. If he's thinking long term, he needs to bulk buy domains and SEO them to generate PR quickly (this is easy to do, at least to get PR3s)

Stupid idea, and it will not ultimately pay for itself.

I've been doing a similar strategy in one of my markets since Feb, but I'm generating the PR myself... and buying fresh domains. $1500 on domains? Nuts... just create a 200-250 web 2.0 bot and blast them all, rank them #1 for the key term and generate the PR3-PR4 yourself... it's really easy.

It's a dumb strategy yet you are following something similar? That doesn't make sense?

It will more than pay for itself, the secret to this method is ensure that the niche is profitable.

$1500 on domains for 80 is less than $20 per domain, hardly breaking the bank stuff!
