I've been in the internet marketing scene for a while and have earned some good coin so I decided to reward myself. My buddy and I spent the weekend buying the parts and putting it all together. I know this setup is overkill but I'm hoping to not have to replace/upgrade it for a while. The video card was also a splurge - the computer is also for playing games when I'm not working. The 8-core processor was also overkill but I run a lot of resource-intensive software. I've never had the pleasure of playing games on max graphics settings so this is a ton of fun for me! I've been brutally raped by penguin so I'm hoping this system will give me the encouragement I need to get my websites back up and earning.

Thanks for all the amazing help and ideas everyone here at BHW has posted! Every post has pushed me one step closer to where I am today and will continue to push me further!

Anyways - here is the computer and my current setup. Let me know what you think! I would also love to see what other people are using for their operations - Please post your pics

Just bought all the parts:

Awesome setup man! Hate to hear that about penguin, but with that processing power I'm sure you'll be up and running again in no time haha. I have the same asus monitor and I'm looking into getting a razer keyboard as well.

Definitely jealous of that set up. If my computer wasn't caked with cigarette tar and cat hair I'd post up pics :P

Im green with envy. can i have your Diablo 3? :D

Awesome and a truly genuine thread. Congratulations on your setup! :)

Good Setup bro. But I think you should gone for XFX Nvidia cards, I have really good experience with them.
Also how much did it cost you?

I can definitely vouch for the Razer Black Widow - the ultimate edition is backlit and pretty :D (totally worth the extra $40 even if I don't look at the keyboard while typing). Make sure you don't get the "stealth" version if you want those satisfying mechanical key clicks!

Haha I wouldn't be surprised if mine has some tar buildup already. I set it up at my buddys place where there are always two or more people smoking one thing or another.

I got soooo lucky with the collector's edition. I waited in line for 6 hours for the midnight release. The store only had 12 copies - I got the 11th and my buddy got the 12th. Pure luck but I'm really glad I got the soulstone USB/Diablo Head/Tyreal Wings!

Thanks! I've been waiting years to have a setup like this I'm so happy it's finally come to fruition! Thanks to everyone at BHW!

wow love your computer area thats neat man :)
Thanks! It's my first setup it's been working well so far but it may need some tweaks. I tried to keep it as minimal as possible.

I would love to see other people's setups! Take some photos don't be shy :D

Hey man nice shit! How much was this setup approximately if you don't mind me asking? Looks sick!

beastly setup :D

but..

Haha I do have speakers they're just hidden behind the wall of monitors and laptop :D. Just a basic 3-piece sub woofer Altec Lansing setup but they make some great quality sound. I've got another set too but I'm trying to decide which ones are better. I think I'll buy a nice headset next though because I can't use these to their full potential without driving everyone crazy.

Yeah I was pretty unsure of which graphics card to go with but this was my buddy's decision. I knew what I wanted processor/RAM wise to run my multithreaded monstrosities but I'm not good with graphics cards. Ironically the most expensive part of the computer :\. I haven't put the card through hell yet but it runs Diablo 3 max settings at 35-40% GPU usage ~60-70 degrees in game.

The whole thing cost $3000 CDN right on the nose minus the second monitor which I already had.

ok i am jelly now...:) Nice setup!
Thanks! I was hoping to show BHW members what a little hard work can get you :D.

Everything minus the 22" monitor and mouse (already had those) was $3000 CDN. I probably could have got it cheaper if I really hunted for bargains but I wanted it set up over the weekend. I couldn't go through the anxiety of waiting for parts in the mail haha.

Nice so start making money LOL
Yeah unfortunately I've been sooo distracted by playing games. Today was moderately productive and tomorrow I have a to-do list. Time to get revenge on that damn penguin.

Cool setup. Its making me jones for new computer. I've had good luck with Asus products. I'm sorry, but I won't be posting a pic of my setup since it looks like the retarded step child of your setup.

Nice setup. Just wondering why you get AMD processor instead of new Intel Ivy Bridge i7 which is much better in my opinion. I also use AMD graphic card (HD6850 to be exact) but I would get Nvidia if I have budget like you.

looks great. Personally not making any changes until Windows 8 and touch screen compatible PCs are released in a few months.

Very nice I really like the case. I wish I had a fully clear side panel!

I consider it an investment - maybe not the video card haha. Hopefully it will help me get more work done I was sick of load times. That's the plan at least - so far it's just helped me play more games :(. Aww you should post a pic anyways!

Not sure about diablo 3....productivity killer:D

Personally, I would go for the Ivybridge cpus. Other than that looks beastly :D
