My new bike ...

You're right about the duration on keeping the bike though, and to be very honest it looks nice even as a 2005 model, so I'll probably end up keeping it for a long time. There is no chance in hell I would get something like an R1 or even an R6 ... I'm not into those super super fast bikes that are not in the least bit forgiving.

ooo yes you will :)
I bought z750 '06 model in 2008, year later i wanted something bigger with more ccm's and more HP.
R6 and R1 are truly fast bikes, but you are the one who drives them, your hand is on throttle, right? They can go slow too :D

My dad's been a rider for a long time though, and even he tried to sway me away from bikes. He tried to sway me away from motocross but out of all of my brothers I'm the better rider off road, the most careful, and I've never had an accident where as the others have. I'd say I was very careful and conscious which is why I'm not "as worried" about the road even though I'm well aware, and sometimes paranoid about the dangers.
that's not even possible - to sway somebody (who really loves bikes) away from them. Been there ...

Paranoia on the road is a good thing though, because it keeps you in check and keeps you aware.

And you're correct about the other drivers. Most accidents on bikes are because drivers don't see you.
sometimes I drive with long light, that won't blind other drivers, but they will see you "slightly" better. I'm not sure for your country laws

enjoy your bike and be careful
Good luck again

I like it.

Every time I think of getting a bike, I think of a friend who is now paralyzed from the neck down. It's not yourself you have to worry about on a bike. It's other drivers. With so many stupid people behind the wheel you share the road with, you have to assume they are going to hit you.

Just keep it slow through intersections, and try and take the long way to avoid traffic to wherever you are going.

On another note, even a 2005 model is a nice bike. I think it looks awesome, and there is no reason to get a new one.

Kudos to holding back and getting it used. Let someone else take the hit on the depreciation. Shows you are smart with your money which is why you're making money in the first place. Congrats! Enjoy and be safe out there!

Whip the farings off of that ... SV's look so much better when they are streetfightered

You're a wise man to know about what happens to your first bike. It will totally get parts cracked, scratched, broken, and more. And, besides it's a gorgeous 2005.

Enjoy it while the weather is nice.

Nice ride, be careful on that and make sure you have a will ;).

Damn that's a mean machine man!!!

How much did you shell out for this beast?

BTW, I my goal's to buy a BMW K1200S within the next 6 months!

Awesome burner. Would luv to have a bike.

They dont scare me though... and having that much freedom would eventually go badly.

Wow, What a bike, Just love it.
Just Enjoy riding, If you dont mind, what's the cost of that?

Beautiful bike man...congrats, even for a '05 model that thing looks gorgeous. I used be into bikes years ago, but my lady doesn't allow me to even LOOK at them now...i see her point though.

Stay safe buddy and enjoy your hard earned BH cash!

my friend was going 120 on his busa and blew a tire be careful

Great looks! The bike, I mean. :D

Remember, if you let the tyres burn smokes, the bike will send you up in smokes. Love the bike's speed only if it doesn't hit the red zone or kids or others, AND love the traffic rules and your life more.

Enough lessons for today, go enjoy! :)

Nice choice of bike. Is that an after market exhaust on it or standard kit?
