My Network Development Thread

I'm not very new in IM and actually took a break from it to concentrate on other things.

Coming back I've realised that it hasn't changed much and one does need a network. However, at my age, its not the fact that you know what needs to be done, but that you need a bit of extra motivation to do what's needed.

That's the only purpose for this thread. Motivation to myself.

I'm creating a new network of

1. Tumblr
2. Twitter
3. Pinterest
4. Web 2.0's
5. Domain names
6. any other networks I feel I need

Over the next 90 days

There's no particular goal just create these manually as I go on at the rate of 100 per property.

Why manually, because I like manual ones more and they last longer. After all, I'f I'm going to push my properties with this, let me a good job rather than a fast job. I have time.

So tommorow is Day 1

today is Day 0. All I'm doing today is creating a strategy to create this in as short a time as possible every day.

Today reminds me of the first days when I was doing IM. Getting up very early and just creating properties. It's tiring yes but heck I loved it.

I created my first set of properties. I always start with a verified google account then move on to G+, then verified twitter etc.

The target is to age the accounts for a week before trying to automate anything. More work but I think it pays off long term.

Now shopping for a Twitter software to use.

Wow a Week

I have created some 20 Accounts in

Tumblr, Pinterest, Twitter, G+, Blogspots etc.

I think this week my challenge shall be automating them. I've decided to try the software from rootjazz to do this. Takes some time to get a working system and letting them age over time.

In the meantime, I've just ordered a keyword package from the marketplace and I'll use it to create my first site. Purely for adsense.

I have already 2 country based niches who's sites I'm already working on. Infact, the first 25 network accounts will be exclusively for the country niche. This more work than I thought it would be.

Thus far I decided to concentrate with twitter and tumblr. Please note that though I have created 25 accounts in each, my first goal was to create a working system then keep on adding the remaining sites. So I started with 10. Next month I'll take on another niche and do the same.

This week I'll start adding Web 2.0's and Tier 1 Websites.


I've also realised that for each social media property, you have to know the type of traffic that you are targeting. Twitter gives me quick traffic but it doesn't convert very well. Pinterest has very slow traffic but it converts at ridicolous levels.


The target this week is to start working on the country niche.


Each of the social media properties I'll have 25 running accounts. The start developing tier 1 websites. These are real websites that start from an Authority website then Tier 1's are niche sites got from the categories of the authority site. eg if the main site is about gadgets then I'll create tier 1's on eg mobile phones another site on security systems etc.

Decided to make these niche specific as it makes more sense.

I've already started on aged expired domain scraping. This is the expensive part of this journey so I have to be careful not to go over budget.

I want to start Facebook. I just don't get the group joining as it seems rather spammy to me. I'm considering having real accounts instead that ask followers to join my own owned groups or site pages. I think that's the better way to go but its rather difficult since I''ll be doing it manually. Unless there's a software here I've not considered that's not too expensive

Now getting into a normal schedule of creating new accounts and then automating.


All the traffic is being directed to one Authority site. To avoid any issues later, I'll start creating niche sites based on the categories of the website.

Tumblr - I was wondering why my Tumblr followers were so few. Then I realised I was only following people who post on their blogs. So today I changed up everything and will just be scraping users who participate in commenting and notes. Hopefully I'll see a bit of a difference in that.


I also added the tumblr accounts and now have a total of 33. My target is 50 in total but I want to slow these down for a few weeks as I build a site around a new niche.


For Twitter, everything here is going on just smoothly. The accounts are now bringing consistent traffic to the site. However, I believe the site needs to change as the earnings are 0 and not anything to write home about.Twitter now has 14 working accounts and I'll wait before I add others because as I said, I'm looking at setting up a new site.


Since the two above are going on well, its time to ramp up the activity in G+. I do have emotional issues with facebook bans on accounts. lol. So I discovered that G+ communities are just as powerful. And heck they are great for SEO too. So by Friday I'll be setting up 13 more accounts for this.


The Web 2.0's are going on and I'm setting up at least 100 a day using FCS. Then letting them just post generic automated content. The ones that survive after the first 4 weeks are the ones that would likely rank. That's my thinking


Facebook, I'm still not happy doing it. So I still have time to think about it.


As for earnings, I decided to send some ads through the tumblr accounts yesterday to have an idea of what usually happens. Well I got all of 23cts. That's the reason for adding the tumblr accounts.


I've just ordered some Keywords from Andre and I'll create any other accounts based on what he gives back.


It's funny how earning 23 cts can make one think, heck why not 100 more zeros on the number? lol

So the first month is up.

I have to say that its good that I decided to document what I was doing. Now a plan is slowly forming into focus. Unlike when I started out with no particular goal in mind, now I think I know what I need to do.

My Goal is simple - Earn $1000 per month in exactly 90 days from today. Then scale up from there

I'll continue building the network sites. They are actually the ones that allowed me to see the plan better. It's not going to be cheap so I will need to do a lot of the stuff on my own.

So the plan is simple

1. Continue Running the Huge Authority Site - Ever since I setup the twitter network, the traffic has doubled. Earnings are at around 20cts a day on Adsense but that's not the important thing. I'm looking for a lot of traffic from organic searches in 6 months to allow me earn more

2. Authority Sites from the Site A Categories - These I predict shall be the big earners. I'm going for 1 per month for the next 12 months

3. Adsense Mini Sites - Simply because this is not going to be a cheap journey so every dollar counts

4. The Network Sites will mainly be used to drive traffic to my own sites


The most expensive thing I saw was the content. I'm very particular about content even when I outsource. In this I'm lucky I shall write my own articles. I've been writing online for over 7 years so may be this is what I was being trained for. lol

Anyway, here goes and forgive me if I don't post as often as this is going to be a lot of work

Yesterday was a very busy day. The earnings though were not that great

Adsense - $0.03
CPC - $0.11

The adsense earnings are low simply because the Authority site is in a very poor niche in terms of adsense. But Adsense shall not be the main money maker with this site in 6 months, so not really worried about it.

The CPC earnings were low simply because I stopped promoting them. Decided to let my tumblr accounts and twitter accounts cool off as I build my sites. Which is the next thing I'll talk about.

I took one of the categories and built a site around it. I had an old site in the niche that I had forgotten to renew that used to rank well for the category. So I just renewed the domain name luckily no one had seen it. Then returned the old content. The site was indexed immeadiately.

So now I can revive the site by creating only Authority content for the main keywords. Authority content for me means 3000+ plus resource articles that cover the whole topic. For example if the site is about shoes, I'll have categories on mens shoes, womens shoes etc. For each category I'll create 1 mega article. I use Web Content Studio for such articles. For each mega article, I'll create 5 supporting articles linking to it. And that's it. Ok for a site with 10 Categories that means 10x5 articles. So that's not it, lol.

So over the next 3 weeks I'll be creating this content for the site. Please note that the previous articles will just be available but I won't be pushing them at all.

Today I'm expecting my keywords from a service here and I'll build the second site based on that. It shall follow the same concept above. So that should take me about 3 days to complete due to the content.

Then next week we move on to promoting the content and increasing the network as currently is.

Today I'll now refine the Tumblr process. I'm actually liking tumblr. When you do get something good to share, it does bring in the trafic. So today's work is to now repeat the same process on all the 30 accounts. I've lost 4 now for some reason....By the end of tomorow I hope to have all my tumblr accounts automated. And keep on adding to the number until I get to my $10 a day goal just from Tumblr


Today I'll also increase the aggressiveness of my twitter account. I've only been posting 3 tweets a day and just following about 100 people a day. It's time to up the ante on the current accounts and will move them to 200 followes a day adding 100 followers every week from now until the maximum.


I'm trying to use Twitter for adsense. Luckily now with 2 sites up I can increase the number of tweets on the accounts. I'll increase the number of tweeter accounts from the current 15 to 50 by the end of the week and see if that doesn't increase the adsense earnings.


Got my keywords last week and shall also today start the new site making my money site network 3 in total. I like the niche and it allows me to think about the pinterest network as I'm building it. 1 day for site setup and 3 days for 30 articles on the site.

Todays Work

Get started on the mini-site which unfortunately I wasn't able to do this week/

Got about 5 Tumblrs banned. Must be because of the way I was following aggressively or whatever reason Tumblr has. Doesn't really matter really, I think I have an idea of what I'll be doing. It seems the accounts I create on my own last a longer than bought accounts. So what I'll do is buy about 100 of them. Then automate them. In the meantime, create about 3 a day for a month as replacements for the ones that have been banned. I bought some from a supplier here on BHW last week Friday, but haven't heard anything from them since. Patiently waiting though

Twitter accounts are all just fantastic. I'm loving tweeter. I think if one isn't in so much of a hurry, it can bring in a lot of traffic. Just do everything well below the radar.

My earnings are very interesting

Adsense is all but dead - Have to figure out what to do there
CPC now is at $1.88 yesterday and $1.79 today

Happy with CPC so I think I'll concentratrate on quickly getting it somewhere stable like $10 a day then hit the adsense bandwagon fully.

I'll keep my traffic and earning stats to weekly since there's so much I'm doing now.

So today was just one of those days. I tried to look at a computer and just couldn't. I did not even wish to look at my sites at all. So went out and got myself a Johnny Walter instead. Sometimes as much as you may wish to, you just can't get the things you want done done.

Very tough Period.

I got my 10 of my initial 30 Tumblrs banned. Sad really coz I had wanted to scale more on it since I was doing some $2 a day with those.

Also realised that time is not on my side and I have to stick to one thing at a time or I'll go nuts and lose focus.

So for the remaining tumblrs and tweets, I'm going to repurpose them to promote my own websites. I realised I was making more from my own sites than even doing CPC offers. The challenge is getting people to my sites. So I'll deal with that problem for now.

Tweeter is going on just fine now with 10000 followers over 16 accounts with no issues just increased traffic.

This week 2 goals

1. Finish all the articles on my two adsense sites
2. Create a system for traffic from Tweeter and Tumblr

I'm having a problem with Pinterest since the software I'm using is not able to do as I plan. Next time I buy software I'll buy only the ones that allow testing. Not sales threads

And here we go on this week.

Earnings have dropped dramatically to

$0.15 in CPC and $0.20 in Adsense

Wow what a week

After being disappointed by the CPC method for Tumblr earnings, I can now see the light. I decided to stop promoting other people's products and instead just send all the traffic to my sites.

Results made me Smile

Site 1: 5 Keywords all in the top 50
Site 2: 5 Keywords all in the top 100 within the week

Earnings

Adsense : now @ $0.50 per day.

I think I'll stick with this method. Continue creating the network but send all the traffic to my properties.

It's been a tough week I have to say.

First my computer crashed and I had to reformat it and when I did it refused to play well with my VPS so couldn't sign in for some 5 days.

I had to upgrade to Windows 10 which I'm not happy about.

However, after I decided to stick to what is working, the results have been amazing

Site A hit 1000 uniques a day yesterday - Unfortunately the site has a horrible conversion rate being one of those generic sites
Site B on the other hand just woke me up today with a shocker - One article went viral on Facebook

I know I haven't used a Facebook network on this journey but I do have a few Facebook Pages. When I woke up I got 1k uniques with most of the traffic coming from FB.

However, the Twitter accounts are what I like. The traffic keeps on coming in and there are more shares on it so I'll stick with them and try and scale a bit more.

Tumblr is what is bugging my head. I have yet to get a good supplier. Just got tired of creating them then seeing them get banned. If you know of anyone, please holla!

I started with G+ and Pinterest yesterday. Thus far I'm at 10 accounts on each with no links to my sites yet. On G+ I'm just joining communities and plusing other guy's stuff. On Pinterest just liking, pinning and following. Once they get to about 50 followers, that's when I'll start adding my links.

On Web 2.0's I wasn't really happy with FCS networker for some reason. So decided to try Rankerx and Money Robot to see which I shall like after the trial.

My main goal in December is to rank the sites. Sure a network of social sites is great but I've realised that if I'm going to make money on Adsense, then ranking those sites is imperative.

That means great content - That I have covered since my articles get a minimum of 50 shares. It also means a good web 2.0 Network, that's why I'm looking for a good software to use. Lastly it means Aged domains and to be honest, that's something I'm very good at. But one thing at a time.

$3 for the past 3 days so broken the $1 per day hump.

It's obvious I've been concentrating on web 2.0's I'm in the old school of thought that I'd rather rank than be socially popular. Doesn't mean that I ignore everything else going on.

Today I'm taking stock and then deciding on the next course of action.

I'm using the smartserp keyword tool in this.

Actually I discovered that its easier for me to find the keywords I'm already ranking for and just push those ones instead of adding new content.

The results are below in terms of traffic. 90% of the traffic is through organic search and I want to keep it that way. The sudden burst yesterday from an article that just got picked up by a news organisation is just a reminder that great content works. So going forward, those are the type of articles that I'll be writing. People love case studies and real life experiences. So even in my niche I'll look for those and write about them.

I'm happy with my first month. Actually elated. I've only made about $30 in total but I know what I'm going for and getting to learn and adapt as I go.

My goal is very simple. Create the structure then let it work on its own.

From next week I hope to be able to post more as we move to the month of scaling as much as I can.
