Hi everyone,
I'm based out in Perth, Australia and I recently got laid off from work and the cost of living here is so high that while I wait to possibly find more work again I am going to try my hand at some offline tactics to get some clients in some of the services I am good at. These services are Web Design, SEO & Photography. I am actually a photographer by profession but web-design and SEO have been long term hobbies.
I plan to use the software Places Scout to find local clients only. Nothing outside of Perth. I will be targeting restaurants, bakeries, landscapers, plumbers, spas, salons, physio's, vets. Basically any kind of local business where I can sell all 3 services. I will be focusing initially on clients who do not even have a web presence, then I will focus on clients who have bad websites, are ranking terribly and could do with some photography for marketing material.
I will be typing letters to these clients and handing them in person. If I don't receive feedback I will follow up with another visit to enquire if they had any questions and ask for feedback as to why they chose not to accept my offer so that I may refine my tactics in order to successfully land clients in the future.
This alone if done right should be able to land me at my target of $4k a month.
However I also plan to do some online stuff as well.
I will be doing keyword research in to several niches, develop websites for them and get them ranking well and then flip these sites to local businesses in that market for profit.
This isn't your standard journey thread I guess as my results won't be a day to day thing like most on here, however, I plan to release a total blueprint of how I search for clients, how I approach them and how I land them in this offline tactic. Which I hope will help others out here.
Thanks
