My parents hated and never believed of what i was doing. than again 10 grand in a month on a table convinces a lot and gains u a lot of confidence. So, u can try to explain but i think best way to explain situation is to prove it by action.
And now i am in a position when i can pick up a phone and tell my parents that i need 5 grand by tomorrow. Boom and money is there they don't even ask anymore why i need it.
btw Op even drop shipping can be illegal depends on what u are doing. Selling items that are ok for every person to buy is okay. even so, if i sell u Fake adidas shoes and tell u that they are brand ones i could end up in a jail.

Because sometimes you need to do what is best for YOURSELF and pursue your own happiness and listening to anyone else dictate your life when you are old enough can hold you back considerably.
Love and consideration are both important social tools for a happy life and it's important for your own well-being if you have a functioning emphatic ability. So keeping your parents happy, should make you happy.
For as long as he lives with them, as long as he doesn't ship from the house or receive large orders of items obstructing the space of the house/apartment I don't see any problem at all with dropshipping.
A good idea would be to explain the business model and compare to something you know your parents know about.
Most of the times parents only wants their kids best but sometimes.. Sometimes they act for their own good before yours.
And now if the parent try to control what business you do it sounds a bit too narcissistic for your own good.
Now again, if what you do is legal and all you do is sit at your ass in front of the computer, no harm should be done towards them so in that case it would only be an action to assert their power over you. Parents should wish their kids best. If you make money for little work doing dropshipping they should be happy, or concerned if they do not believe in prolonged business model of it. But trying to make you stop even if you are profitable... Raises red flag.

Yes good point so if you feel the urge to please parental figures you can find a good balance such as part time job or education as long as it doesn't obstruct your online business! Most people are greedy so giving them some money will also keep the quiet!
