First of all, I have been doing a TON of reading. I quickly found out I didn't know shit about building a site, driving traffic, or earning revenue. But, after all my reading and searching and a little beta testing, I think I may have a way to get going, but I would love some feedback.
I went and bought about a dozen domain names that are pretty decent and I am going to begin hosting wordpress blogs with the niche's that match my domains (obviously).
To find my niche's, i used google trends and found keywords that payed decent, but not crazy. Anything that pays a quarter a click was good for me because I want quanity clicks.
I was going to do this:
autoblog - leech rss feeds to get quick content, then cut off the feeds and begin adding real, fresh content. My thinking is this will help in indexing and create relevant ads for adsense - please correct me if I'm wrong.
add ads - adsense, adbrite inlines, and maybe some cj - all in flow with the site so that it looks natural.
submit to social bookmarking sites - I know there are autosubmitters, but I would LOVE to get suggestions on which is best.
Optimize - While leeching content, keep SEO in mind and make sure I stay optimized for quick indexing and fresh search engine traffic.
submit sitemap to google and post 3-5 articles a day for each blog.
I have tried these methods on my "beta" site, but the clicks are not coming from my ads, mostly because the content is random. I basically submitted random photos and articles to reddit to see what kind of traffic I would get, and it was pretty good. One photo has produced 7k hits in 24 hours.
I think I'm on the right track, but I don't know. I guess it all depends on the niche and where the traffic will come from. I am completely aware that revenue is not generated overnight, that it takes time. I just want to make sure that I'm not wasting time doing something the wrong way.
And I have to say what a huge amount of information this site provides. I would have NEVER been able to try this at all if it wasn't for all the content.
