1. You need to be exceptional at writing in English. It needs to flow and not be full of short sentences which is what I find is a common occurrence with people who's first language isn't English.
2. You need a working Paypal account, as I'm happy for you to receive the payment and then pay me my share once the article has been completed.
3. You need to be trustworthy and reliable.
4. Sorry, but no messageboard 'newbies' - you need to have a decent number of posts.
5. Ideally, you have some previous content that you've written, as we then have somethig to show potential customers.

I can set up a landing page that will show information such as prices, previous work, etc.

And I think I'm a good-quality writer. I also have some Editorial experience to my addition. But that's ideally a verdict residing exclusively with a reader.

Criteria:

1. I totally agree that the essence of good writing can only be catalysed by a balanced usage of vocabulary and grammar, but the foundation relies majorly on consistency, flow and syntax. I feel I get these checkpoints covered subconsciously.
2. I have a working PayPal account. I also have a separate business account, if we scale.
3. Trust and reliability comes with time and experience, so you'll have to take that at face value, for now. And even after passage of time, one can get scammed. If you can believe me, I've been scammed of a lot of money in the past and would certainly not want to treat any person the way I've been.
4. I'm a Jr VIP with close to 200* posts now. I don't know if that qualifies but I mean business.
5. I have a lot of content that can be offered as samples. No issues with that, I believe.

I can share more things with you and answer some of your doubts suo-moto, that you may not have at the moment, but I think you ought to know. I shall, however, if you're interested in my profile.

Interesting point. Precisely because of quality control. OP doesn't want to take that responsibility as that's out of his control (I think). He'll be focussed on sales and marketing, while the other guy would take care of Ops. And I think that's a good perspective to have, being the case.

It is. I'd do all the marketing and messaging with potential customers. I then pass it on to the writer who contacts the customer, writes the content, delivers it and gets paid. The JV partner/writer than sends me my share.

I'm doing the same process on another project and it works very well.
