My link got 3 million social signals!?

I really don't know how this happened. First, i thought it might be a bug with the counter but every counter is showing the same results, even ahrefs.

I never bought any social blast for this link. Just created few manually in the past.

It was 2.9M 24 hours ago.

I was ranking in top 5 for the exact product name (Best seller on amazon.com) beating cnet.com, pcmag.com, and bestbuy.com

This is not the first time I ranked for an exact product name.
But what's with 3m G+ shares? Can anybody answer?

Might possibly be a negative SEO attempt? I'm sure too much of something may look suspicious to google, therefore one of your competitors tried to neg seo you. Just an assumption.

Maybe your site or one of your posts went viral, who knows... or maybe it's a glitch in the counter. Did you see traffic increase?

It has to be some sort of error, but google might still be counting it. On the majority of websites I see, G+ is lower than facebook to begin with. Keep in mind how much smaller of an audience base uses G+. It is useful though, but 3 million would be like World War 3 lol.

Looks like you guys were right. It was a youtube video with a weird title that might be affecting the product reputation.
It was something like this "[product name] review - why you shouldn't buy it". The video got 500k organic views.
So it might become the company's matter and I am sure they can do that costly neg SEO.
And they succeeded in it in another way. The channel got deleted without any strike and notification.

I am really not much upset about this. This was the 2nd time I ranked for the same keywords in top 5 and I think I can do it again.

As other people said, someone might be doing neg SEO so I am sure he is trying to put me down in any possible way. Targeting my channel/video by reporting is one way. And if it's the product company as I am assuming then they can do it easily.
