My keyword jumped from 45 to no1?

Hey guys. I have an adult site. When i check serpfox its saying the 100k KW i have is at 45 but when i type it into google uk im sitting in no 1 position. Something strange going on here. I only had a few hundred visitors to my site yesterday. Is it even possible for a jump like this to happen so quick?. Could serpfox not have updated yet to show the correct position?

Yeah, that would be the first thing I would check. You are probably logged into Google and it is affecting the displayed results.
 
Agreed, your browser is caching your page and you need to either do it through a proxy or sign out of google :)
 
use a browser in which you are not logged in at google account and not visited the page ever before.
 
I use Internet Explorer for all my manual checking. I never use the browser for anything else.
 
Don't worry, it's just a technical illusion.

I once experienced this.. Just use a cognito window to search for your keyword.
 
Clear your browser cookies. If you save your site in browser with your KW then Remove it. Then Check again.
 
I like how everyone is basically saying the same thing over and over again. How about telling the truth! Google is messing with you because they now have help from the Illuminati.
 
[SUB]​[/SUB]I believe you working on White Hat methods; you don't see a major jump in white hat process (45 to 1st position). Of course it happens occasionally.

Check with Pro Rank Tracker, It gives me the exact results (or) Manually check with incognito window for true results. Also confirm with the analytics about the traffic flow.
 
Websites you visited in the past have better rank when you visit google. They make a profile of your preferences. Just do what everyone is writing here. Change browser, IP, clear cache, cookies... CCleaner is a good software for this.
 
If you have Scrapebox, the Rank Tracker premium add-on is great for this and it's just a one-time fee with constant free updates.
 
If you use a rank tracker like Serpbook, it'll have an option to view non-cached version of your rankings. Prevents it from showing localized results.
 
There are some massive google updates these days. Everybody is experiencing ranking movement. Maybe another animal has been released.
 
The fact that the OP hasn't responded must mean he found out it was too good to be true and cleared his cache and Google account history... 45 -> 1
