I am not sure if this is something usually done here but I thought it may be cool for me to blog weekly updates on my seo journey? My site is 3 months old so far, I've targeted several low competition keywords in my niche and of course have enlisted some services on BHW
The site had its first few sales a few weeks ago from customers who found me on Google now but estimated traffic is around 6 per day as it stands.
No further sales or enquiries since time but site traffic seems consistent now and I am seeing abandoned carts so these are genuine visits

I have been adding 2 articles per day using chatGPT content that i then proof read, edit and format to fit the site then upload it as a blog to my site (shopify) with 1 internal backlink within this article (usually to the homepage) occasionally ill do an external link or an internal link to a specific product. I read that it works best doing 1 hyperlink only per blog is this correct would you all say?

For SEO purchases I have been using https://www.blackhatworld.com/members/aka-sam.222403/ utilising his monthly package offering which is the silver package offering lady gaga and boxshot packages combined each month. i pay automatically each month and then around 10-12 days after i recieve the reports, 1 for each of the packages.

What has been great here is i did initally contact Sam a lot via telegram and he could of easily been short or ignored my queries, but not doing so has got him a monthly reoccuring customer and i actually also recently purchased another package off him called the MJ package which was 5 high quality posts.

we initally went after 3 keywords all of low competition but as i started ranking for other keywords too from my site/articles we decided to also add in 2-3 more from this too.

Sam also monitors the ranks for me even though i often refresh semrush 5+ times per day haha. i am very impatient with this but i know it will come and i know i cant rush, i also have installed Yoast SEO to my site to try help optimise it further.

i dont have a big budget here, so i feel/hope my journey can help others in a similar situation - i work full time and do this site on the side - for now at least anyway haha

So this week I had my first google dance, going from top 10 rankings for 5 out of 6 keywords to going to nearly 100 for each of them when i had my daily semrush update, my head was in my hands thinking - wow what is this. but then i manually checked and they were fine.

hopefully we will see another increase in the next few days following this do you think?

also, i am posting 1-2 articles to my site per day. i am putting in one backlink/keyword on them as I read that is all you should do as the link power/juice all goes to the first link anyway, is this correct?

Worldwide we are are 130 keywords on semrush at the moment

another day another update, another question

so from the 5 keywords im targeting, we are now in between top 4-9 of google, thanks again @aka sam you are doing some amazing work - i cannot recommend the service he provides enough

the monthly package is now 3 months deep, month 4 will start in about a weeks time. ive also had 2-3 seperate packages from @aka sam ontop of this.

quick question i must ask, when im adding articles to my own webiste (2 to 3 per day) should you only do one backlink/hyperlink on these? I read a bit ago that if you put on more than one its negative for the seo as the linkjuice just goes on the first link anyway but a while back i read doing upto 4 hyperlinks per post was good. help?! haha

Another day - another question and update.

organic traffic estimate has gone up from 10 to 60 in the past week which is pretty cool, also now ranking for 140 keywords!

something i have been thinking recently after reviewing peoples posts selling articles on here is the importance of images, i have now about 100 articles on my site, if i went back in manually and added images to these would this be positive for seo? would google see this as both updating an article so keeping relevance and also adding a photo which would boost the seo for it?

So it's been a few weeks since my last update now. I took a backseat from making my own blog posts using chatgpt and actually cancelled my subscription when I heard about the new Google update for fear this would be targeted.

Post update I had a small dip in ranks but they are continuing to rise with most of my target keywords now in top 10 of Google with some in top 5.

I recently got an account on ahrefs and have been doing some work to improve my on site seo but am noticing a lot of pages eith meta descriptions which are too long so I need to rewrite these. Can you please advise if you use any particular methods or tools for helping to write meta descriptions please?
