It's always nice to read and go through other peoples journeys. Watching either their success or failures/learning experiences can be very inspirational. You can learn so much from their experience and testing without actually participating in their project. One thing that I have noticed is, having a journey thread defiantly has advantages. People reading your thread can hold you accountable for either slacking off or making mistakes. They can praise and encourage you when you are doing well. I think this can play a huge part in the success of a project, especially if this is a new to intermediate internet marketer. First, I am no expert when it comes to internet marketing and my biggest weakness is writing. This is a big reason for me wanting to start this thread. I wanted to use this opportunity to improve my writing ability. Another reason why I wanted to become a better writer is so I don't always have to pay for what I could be doing. Plus you never know what you are going to get from "English native writers". So feel free to critique any and all of my work. ***Side Note*** I am30 year old who has served in the United States Army for 3 years. I have a degree in business management, and because of the condition of my son (He has Cystic Fibrosis) I am a stay at home dad. Ever since he was born I have been practicing on and off with Web design, Black and White hat SEO and on and off page SEO) for about two and half years. Currently, the skills I am working on are writing SEO optimized articles and web pages, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Aftereffects. I don't need to be a pro with the Adobe products, but I also don't want to have to pay others to make and edit small projects like my banners, VideoHive videos and other material similar to that. What do I use, have, or own already GSA SER GSA Captcha Breaker ScrapeBox Yoast SEO Yoast Local (Have not used it yet) Market Samurai Google Keyword Tool Bing ads Fiverr for some designs Evernote (Great for keeping track of everything) I also have some pretty good themeslike Aveda, Betheme, etc... I want to be completely honest when it comes to this thread, I'm not going to over-hype anything that I have done or am doing. I am currently working on two projects and will soon to start one more. My first project and most important project that Iam working on is opening an Internet Marketing company that will off the basic's (Web Design, Local SEO, SEO, etc....) I plan on focusing on Local SEO to business in the surrounding cities near me. The Second project I am working on kind of coexist with the first project. I found a Golf and country club company whose website is not done all too well. Also there is not much on page SEO and the off page is even worse. I saw that they are having a fundraising event for Cystic Fibrosis (which my son has) so I asked if I can help them in anyway. So far I created a site for this event, it has the landing page, 3 articles, and a contact me page. It looks 10 times better than what they currently are using for their main site. I also have set up a Bing PPC campaign and am running their Social Media. (Not their main social media just event pages I made on Facebook and Twitter. This is what they originally wanted me to. ) I told the company the reason that I had created the website was in order to write a few articles. This would give me something to post on to the social media that the wanted me to run. I did this hoping they would see the quality difference of my work and theirs and that will eventually hire me... Ifnot though it's ok, I can use this for my portfolio and this is benefiting a cause that I would fight for anyway. (Something that can cure my son one day.) The third project (I am not sure if I want to talk about the actual idea in here yet) I can't work on as much just yet until the other two are better set up. When he contacted me about this he had already had a Facebook fan page up that he created just a few weeks ago. For someone who does not study IM like you or I this fan pageis being ran really well and showing real promise. This group is a very targeted group and his original idea was pretty good. I was explaining to him how we can scale it up and he was sold. He wants to work on this together. That is it for right now, but constructive criticism and advice would be welcomed.
