Well first thing is first, I'm really new to IM... like less than 2 months into learning/applying what I've learned.
My goals were to make an extra $100/month, but I've hit that now, I'm now on my way towards $1k/month. I'm attacking this goal from different angles; Kindle, Reins Auto Porn Blogger, and X (yet to be determined).
The first thing I did was setup a kindle KDP account right before Christmas. I then began searching for a good source of information to turn into kindle books. I found a few different sources that I tapped into.. downloaded e-calibre and kindle viewer for PC. I then picked my niche (which failed), I then chose another area of my personal interest...again I failed to sell anything. I said screw my personal opinions and views and started researching what people wanted, this lead me to my current niche. I made/posted a couple of books and started to see a couple of sales here and there.. I was happy to get my cents per copy!!!!! Then I learned that Kindle separates sales based on world location.. THANK YOU UK PEOPLE!!!! My sales were starting to take off.. I then revamped it a few days days ago by looking at my best sellers some more and re-posting the same kindle books with different covers/ book details to boost the chances of random selection from my competition, this alone has increased my sales around 30% of said niche books!! I was already at ~100/month when I did this method so this will be a huge + once I add even more books.
My 2nd thing I did was about 4 days ago I said screw it and went with Reins Auto Blog method.. I followed everything to a T and added a couple of my own twists to it.. My stats are going up daily and so is my PPC from plugrush (I want to get better control over my content so I;ve been hording images from the web to upload and start posting, I feel this will help retain my traffic and increase the chances that it will be shared). I;ve run into some issues where Crakrevenue is not able to track any of my stats, so no clue if I'm making anything with them yet (currently communicating with them on this issue *great customer service FYI*. They even asked about what type of traffic sources I'm getting to give me some better options, without me even asking!). I'm earning like .04 cents a day so far from PlugRush right now.. I expect to see this jump quite a bit with Crakrevenue once those bugs are worked out. My goal is 20ish niche subdomains over the next couple of months and I'll really focus on the content/traffic after that, rather than shooting the dice with regards other peoples content.
Anywho my goal is to update this once a week with my triumphs and fails (maybe someone will learn from my mistakes)
