Hello BHW! I'm a long time lurker and I have recently started a huge project with an associate. Without going into details I can say that it all about niche sites and adsense earnings. All the while, I have started doing some freelance work on various sites. The work ranges from 150 word descriptions of services to 500 word amazon posts. The rate of pay is about 2.3 cents per word, typing at 80 WPM that means quite a high rate of pay when actually typing. Factoring in research time I'm making around 20$ an hour for these articles. This, along with my day job coaching gymnastics puts me at around 640$ a week depending on my motivation to write.

This is not a bad amount due to the extremely low cost of living in my area(30k here is pretty much 50k anywhere else in the US). The goal of my journey is to slowly weed out my hours at my day job and doing the freelance writing and rely more on content creation for niche sites to provide a more passive income.

    Current Status of the Sites:

I will order the sites based off of the date of creation. As of right now there are only 3 in the works, but that number should be increasing soon.

Site 1 - Micro niche site, ranking on google top 100 for several keywords after less than a month since creation.

    Earnings: .02$

Site 2 - Micro niche site, content created working on a little bit more with the keywords but should be online soon.

    Earnings: 0$

Site 3 - Micro niche site, just beginning to create content, but niche is easy and seems low competition for a good CPC

    Earnings: 0$

I will most likely be updating this project every couple days or maybe once a week depending on how things go, will be very slow at first so not much to post. I'm hoping that this thread will help motivate me to stay on top of the project and keep the fresh content flowing. If anyone has any good freelance writing sites they use feel free to share, I am still looking for more opportunities to increase my income.

Isn't that measured in characters per minute?
    Edit:
Looks like the inaccurate WPM is widely used (a 12 character word counts as much as a 3 character word? wtf).
However in Germany we use the more accurate characters per minute :)

Well in CPM I type around 456 characters in a minute, if that clears it up haha

    Update: April 2nd

    Website One:
    Total Earnings: .64$

    Website Two:
Waiting on my partner to finish up and get the site live, few days away now.

    Website Three:
Four articles done, more on the way.

Definitely happy with the earnings for website one, considering its only a month old. Its ranking top 100 for four keywords so far, with some new articles I have planned for today that number should grow.

    Update: April 10th

Site 1: Traffic and ranking slowly increasing, getting daily hits to amazon but no sales yet.18
    Profit: 1.18

Site 2: Site is online, seo and adsense almost ready to begin.

    Profit: 0

Site 3: Stalled due to real life work, no progress to show

    Profit: 0

Site 4: New site with a high search volume and CPC, but low competition already ranking top 100 for several key words in about a week.

    Profit: 0

So far so good, progress has slowed due to adding on an extra 6 hours a week at my regular job, putting me at almost 50 a week. The newest site is ranking without any backlinks, so I am very excited to see where it goes once it ages and the seo begins.
