I know a few guys who make around 1k to 2k a month on their ebook (about dating but they give affiliates an 60% fee, was originally 80%)

Interesting to read this topic. Myself, I wrote some ebooks (but in french). And hard side is promotion of the product (75 % of job to my side).
I use torrent website, free announce websites, sometimes directories, share platforms.
I don't use blueprint for my product (C.B.) because French people don't know exactly what is it and don't search these keywords !

Yeah I'm beginning to think that this might be the case. If you don't mind me asking, how much did you sell your product for and how much have you made so far?

Started a video for the eBook, now realising this should be a lot of fun and a great deal less daunting than I originally thought.
How much do y'all think is a fair price to pay for an average eBook? Please don't sit on the fence and say it depends on what's been offered, because that's obvious, but how much do you spend on average per eBook?

For the price, you can see that the medium CB product prices are about 40 - 50 dollars. To my side I use 40 ? and sometimes I think that it is expensive.
In France we have a similar CB website that call 1tpe.com and the medium price is about 40 ? => 38-9? is better. It's a psychological price.
The price of your product is essential but the quality of your website is essential also !
Sometimes I'm afraid about some things in virtual ebook selling :
1/ Nowadays we are in a spirit of totally freely things with internet (sharing - sharing ) and we sell virtual things. It is not possible to protect medias ...
There is a big difference between "paid business" and "free business". I hope that you understand that I try to say.
2/ The crysis changes many things in the people behaviors. With the oil's price and unemployment. People don't pay anymore on leisure "recreational" products ...
To return to something more cheerful
You can include in your product : pdf / movies and online help (it is a good bonus I think => I try this).
To answer your last question, I'm in the promotional period (since 1 week ago) and I don't make selling because It's the beginning but in one month I can tell you what it is and conversion rate also !

I completely agree with your points dude. And I'm a believer in giving stuff away for free, but then why not give stuff away for free and charge every now and then to make your time worth while. But then maybe 'cos people aren't spending as much on going out they're inside more, and 'cos they're inside more they're on the net more and are looking to make money

As you already know, I work on adsense / CB method (french language) since 2-3 months now and the more difficult is the promotion of the products for me.
I try to get some of my product on 1tpe.com and CB also and I think that it is a great point !
I don't have any problems to write methods (I begin to have good knowledge) / make websites / designs / onpage seo ... but promotion is a little bit as "hell" more in France I think !
But I notice that for the few visitors I can have that the conversion is great !
I heard your experience on promotion (please tell me about your language promotion) and I will speak also about my experience on further posts (I need to go) ...
