Hi all, I've been researching SEO since August and have since brought up a dozen sites and almost all of them are on page 1. I'm up to about $15 a day using Adsense(only two sites have Adsense now), but I'm looking to expand out to CPA very soon. I figure $100 is a very achievable goal. I spend at least 8 hours a day researching and working and I hope it pays off soon. Unfortunately my parents don't totally approve of this and think it will never work. Any of you have friends and/or family who don't approve of your IM work and any advice in trying to achieve $100 a day. Thanks.

Well you're doing pretty good mate keep that up! Scale it up, keep working, and possibly expand even more and I'm sure you'll show everyone that you're serious with this!

Adesene really works. They pay each and everyone after you reached $100

I'm about to start an adsense/ authority type site soon too mate but I am a total noob at it! It's nice to hear that it DOES actually work:) I hope you make it far on ur journey mate :)

It indeed does work. I got my first deposit from Google yesterday. All of it is going right back into buying sites and more SEO tools. It is rather discouraging when people don't believe in you though.

believe in yourself and prove your parents wrong by showing them one of your checks :)

They haven't been impressed with my checks so far but I have 6 sites that are almost ready for AdSense. Two sites are bringing in $500 a month so perhaps $2000 a month isn't far off no?

It was the same here. They weren't actually disapproving, but they didn't believe that it's possible to earn, however I had pretty decent success.
Currently I'm a small business owner. After new years I'll be launching an ecommerce and soon after opening my 2nd store and all this is possible thanks to IM(and of course my parents are helping out quite a bit with the store success since they've been business owners for over 20 years :)).
Last few months I've been quite busy and I had stopped any IM, but now I'm planning on starting again. Nothing serious, just 1 authority site + 1 that is in a niche I'm quite passionate about.
I'm not expecting anything from the 2nd, but from the authority I'm having quite big hopes in the long term :)

Don't make too many sites.. Work on only 1-2 sites and make them authority site.

I'm planning to turn a couple of my sites into authority sites over time while also building smaller sites. There's pros and cons of both approaches, so I think I'll go with both.

Agreed, if I could start over it'd be about building 2-3 big sites instead of massive numbers of smaller sites. If they get to the point where they can just sit there then start another big site or two. Just my advice.

I broke my single day record with over $34 yesterday. Not too bad if you ask me.

That's really good. How much time do you invest a day on your sites?

I average a good 10-12 hours a day. I really love IM and don't mind working that much. I have bad news though. I made $150 today on 800 clicks. I'm thinking I got click bombed. The question is, what do I do now? I'm combing through the IPs now to see repeats and so far I haven't found any, so if someone is click bombing me they might be using proxies, but why go after such a small player if you have those kind of resources? I also disabled ads for now, I'll see if traffic keeps up tomorrow without the ads there to spam.

Edit: Looking through my adsense information, data appears to be normal, there was just a huge influx of traffic with CTR being a little higher than normal. If someone wanted to click bomb me, wouldn't they drive my CTR up to ridiculous levels and not only by a few percent? I'm really worried if I lose my Adsense account because that's $600 in my account and I gotta start moving to CPA sooner than I thought.

I would recommend you get Analytics or statcounter over at your site so you can see the referals from the traffic. Had the exact same thing happen to one of my sites (from 100-200UVs/day to 800-900) for a couple of days, and as it turns out, one of my pages was posted in a discussion on reddit (natural - yeah I was surprised too), so nothing to worry about.

In the meanwhile, send an email to the adsense guys saying that you have gained an increased amount of traffic (and clicks) over the past couple of days (act like a noob webmaster making a site out of a hobby), and just ask if everything is okay. Later, if they ban you, you can say you complained and they WILL reinstate your account.

Thanks. At least this spurred me to sign up for and get accepted to a couple of CPA networks. My Adsense activity seems to be normal today and I have analytics installed now to monitor what happens. I ended up with over 1,000 views and $170 on two sites whose searches total only about 12,000 per month, granted I do hold the top spot with both sites on the SERP.

Edit: If it was authentic traffic, then that's a great day. CTR wasn't much higher than normal, so I question whether it was a click bombing.

I added two more sites, however they barely added anything. Over $70 today, so if I keep this up, I'll be close to my goal. Looking at my analytics, nothing seems out of the ordinary, but I did report it to Google about yesterday's sudden traffic.

You seem to be on the good path. Keep focusing on what's really important, because afterall, the hardest part is to make the most of your working time!

Be sure to get your account at CJ, and try to analyse your traffic(demograpihcs, gender, age group,) and then put banners that fits them the most.

Their is so much stuff on comissionjunction, you'll find plenty that fits your niche.

Hope this helps!

I think I may have figured out why my main site is converting so well now. I hold the top 3 spots in a keyword that gets almost 8000 searches per month with a CPC of almost 70 cents. I had no idea that it was possible to rank a site in first and its individual pages behind it. People really love my site, most visitors check out multiple pages and I have a lot of repeat visitors too. I have a feeling that there's a fair bit of natural backlinking going on at this point since I haven't been building backlinks to the site much at all lately. I guess good content goes a long way. I also had no idea games were such a great niche.
