I am a college student studying abroad in Australia and I'm looking to create a website that will make me $10 a day. $10 is not that much but I would rather make $10 than nothing.

I have a domain, hosting, wordpress, and social media setup already.

My main keyword has 40k searches a month, but on the front page are youtube and wikihow sites. I think I can get over these pages with decent seo and EDM.

I purchased one article on fiver to post to my blog, I posted it and submitted to article sites.

I have posted a job on elance to write 13 articles for ~$100. Should have these articles in a week. These articles will go on my site, article sites, blog sites, and web 2.0.

I plan to use this site as journal to record my mistakes and breakthroughs.

The 13 articles you're buying for $100 from elance, how many words the articles will be of ?

Because if you are paying that much for 500 words articles that you are over paying as you can get a 500 words article for $5 easily

600-800 word articles with research and links to relevant web pages.

For articles you might want to check out epicwrite here a BHW. They are giving away a free article to every member at the moment, take a look at the freebie/giveaway section.

Article quality is very high. 100% unique and well written. $3-$5/500 words.
 
You have a good plan there and looks like you really know what you are doing. Best of luck for everything and remember, there's no perfect strategy or formula in IM so if it's not working, figure out what went wrong through numerous experiments. Looking forward on your progress so don't forget to keep us posted!
 
Update 1: SEO
Yesterday I went to hiking in the Blue Mts so I didnt get anything accomplished.

Today:
- I looked over my elance applications and figured out my top 3 to hire, waiting to get paid to get these articles.
- I bought a three tier pyramid back linking to get the ball rolling.
- Add a privacy policy
- About page created
- I have created amazon aff. account and will be using my adsense to make money.

Next step:
I will get the articles written and use social bookmarking to increase my page ranking

Extra:
Im starting an extra tumblr account to see if I can make an extra few dollars.

Update 2: Content

I added a few videos as post to my blog. I will add more relevant product videos and link them to my amazon aff account.

Yesterday I made $10 from selling FB likes. I will sell FB, Twitter, and instagram to help pay for my articles.

So far:
194 unique vistors
$10 made from another source

Ill buy the articles on Wednesday, so I have real content next week. Ill add the articles 1 per day for 2 weeks to my site, then upload them to article sites/blogs. Hire someone to spin each article to 3 and upload those to article sites / blog sites.

I'm not seeing any changes in my search rankings but it will take some time and content.

I agree bigger goals make you more passionate to reach them. I just want to prove to myself that I can make $10. Additionally I want the $10/day to fund my purchases of SEO software, domains, ect
 
Update 3: Change of plans...
I was messing around looking at some domains since two sites are offering them for $0.99 today. I purchased an EMD with page rank 2 for $1 that gets $13-21 CPC, and I can imagine a CPA is 50+. This is way more profitable than google adwords and amazon aff. Additionally I can make or hire someone to make an ebook for it. I have final exams coming up so I wont have enough time to work on it properly until the 22nd.

This makes me excited, maybe I should change my goal.

Update 4: The boring middle part

Main idea:
Alright been a few days. I bought 2 articles from someone on the forums and submitted them to article sites and bought some social backlinks. This niche will take a while to make money, so to get $10 a day I have added some additional revenues. I have other niche ideas, I need to gain money to pay for unique content.

Since I am new to IM I am trying a few things at once.

Ebooks:
Stupid idea, but its a passive income so I will give it a try.

Social media:
I have been providing social media followers, likes, ect for $15 i have made 5 sales. I am also going to create a few social networking accounts that have large followers to promote my stuff.

Offline:
I have read this is the best way to make serious cash. I am going to send out letters to business owners to upgrade their websites, social media, blah blah blah.

Costs so far:
$25 - for hosting
$15 - 5 domains
$5 - backlink product
$3 - social bookmarking
$15 - other costs

Revenue:
$75 - 5x$15 sales

Profit:
$12/ 9days = 1.33 day

Im 10% there lol.

CB:
I have setup a website specifically for CB product, drive traffic with solo ads($40/100) give ebook to subscribers.

Newsletter sent: (example headlines)
Instant: Thanks, and url to the ebook. (Trust/Value +)
Day 1-10 good helpful articles to get build (Trust/Value +)
Day 11 "Something big is launching in 2 days" (Trust/Value +)
Day 12 "Ready to change your life?" (Trust/Value +)
Day 13 "Exclusive offer!" (Trust - Value +)
Day 14 "This offer ends tonight!" (Trust - Value +)
Day 15+ If there is a good amount of traffic/CTR I will continue adding to this and send a newsletter 2 times a week. (Trust/Value +)

This should build a nice passive income to pay for future ideas.
