Hey everyone,
Just wanted to share a recent deep dive I did that might help some of you doing outbound or building lead enrichment pipelines.

I was sick of reading the same "comparison" posts that just paraphrase pricing pages. So I ran my own real-world test on 5 enrichment tools using a list of 100 French B2B leads from large organizations (hard to enrich, on purpose).

It cost me a bit of money (paid for all the tools myself), but I think it was worth it — the results were... surprising.

My Setup

I used a spreadsheet of 100 real French professionals with:
  • First + last name
  • LinkedIn URL
  • Mostly public sector or large enterprise roles
These are some of the hardest profiles to enrich, so if a tool performs well here, it's reliable.
I measured:

  • How many valid direct phone numbers each tool found
  • The real cost per valid number (not per credit or per month)
  • Overall value for money

The Tools I Tested

  1. Derrick App (https://derrick-app.com/)
  2. ProntoHQ (https://www.prontohq.com/)
  3. Full Enrich (https://fullenrich.com/)
  4. Datagma (https://datagma.com/)
  5. Apollo (https://www.apollo.io/)
Spoiler: the most hyped tool actually did the worst in my test.

Real Results

RankToolPrice/PhoneSuccess Rate⭐ Overall Rating
1Derrick App€0.3091/100⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
2ProntoHQ€0.5093/100⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
3Full Enrich€0.4987/100⭐⭐⭐⭐
4Datagma€0.3071/100⭐⭐⭐
5Apollo€0.1642/100⭐⭐

My Takeaways
  • Derrick was the best balance: low cost and high accuracy. Works in Google Sheets, which I like — super lightweight and efficient.
  • ProntoHQ had the highest hit rate (93%) but fewer credits/month, so you pay more per number. Still, insanely precise.
  • Full Enrich is a good “middle of the road” option — strong results, no setup, just works.
  • Datagma was okay, but felt like a less optimized Derrick.
  • Apollo was super cheap, but the data was unreliable on French leads. If you need volume over quality, maybe. But for my use case? Nope.

Lessons Learned

  • Don’t trust tools just because they’re "popular".
  • Always test on your actual audience — enrichment tools don’t all perform equally depending on region, language, or job type.
  • The cheapest per month isn’t always the best deal. Real cost = what you actually get per phone number.

Want the test file?

Can’t post the lead list publicly (privacy), but if you want the exact same dataset to test your tool, DM me. It's just names + LinkedIn URLs — 100 French leads from big orgs.

Also: if you’re using Kaspr, RocketReach or Lusha, feel free to run the same test and share results — I’d love to add them.
Let’s build a real, transparent benchmark together.

Hope this helps someone in their outbound journey. Happy to answer any questions or share screenshots if that’s useful.

Peace

The post shares results from testing 5 phone enrichment tools to reveal which one worked best with real leads.

update Airscale (https://airscale.io/) take the 3rd place (0,42cts & 91/100)

This was super helpful—thanks for actually putting these tools to the test with real data. Way more useful than the usual surface-level comparisons. Surprised to see Derrick come out on top over the bigger names like Apollo.

Really appreciate you taking the time to test all of these—this kind of info is gold, especially for people who don’t want to burn time or cash on trial and error. Would love to know which tool gave you the best overall accuracy and if any were surprisingly bad. Also curious how big your test list was. Great stuff, thanks for sharing!

Hi, the list was 100 leads French based only, why 100 only.

because it's cost a lot i test 8 tools so 800 phone average 0,5 cts / phone = 400$

the best value is derrick (derrick-app.com)

i will try with us based if this thread is working well :) (so upvote if you like it plz)
