My journey back from a gambling addiction

Hi, to start off im going to introduce myself.

My name is Andreas and I am 18 years old and one month old, from the day I turned 18 until today I've lost a total of 4500$ with a income of roughly 300$ a month. I've just stopped playing gambling and now I decided to build up a new fortune so that I will be able to follow my dreams after I finished school. No need to comment that I am really stupid, I just am.

I tried a few times earlier to make money out of the internet.
E-whoring, made about 150$ in not alot of time but I can't do it anymore.
Youtube, I got partnership on my personal channel, made about 0.3$.
******, made about 0.5$.
Tumblr, got 830 followers on my personal Tumblr.
Twitch, tried to livestream League of Legends but I need a better computer.

Browsed BHW for advice on how to make money from Youtube and Tumblr, most things are still a little unclear but I am going to read more.

I will try to do all theese and some new things that I found browsing BHW. ( Please give me advice on more things. )

Squidoo, will try to make 20+ Lenses a day for as long as I possibly can.
Hubpages, Will try to make 20+ hubs a day for as long as I possibly can.

That's about everything I got going on for now, but I'll appreciate more advice on more things that I can do and advice to do theese things alot better.


So my goal for the coming 7 months is to make 10,000$
Starting from. 0$ 2012-11-30.
And will update each week or month.

Hey man, no ones perfect, we all make mistakes and have our own vices. I have a bit of a gambling problem too, but I don't risk it all and I can control myself to some extent, I just like the rush. I'm not quite a degenerate like I was when I was about 16-18, but I do still gamble and like it. I like to bring my gambling mentality to the Internet world now by taking a gamble starting a website or making an online business investment. Essentially it's the same thing, but just more long term return on your gamble and a more accepted form of gambling in society.

Glad you've realized you had an issue with it and have overcome it. Work hard and read a lot here and you will succeed just like I did. Goodluck!
 
So what are you doing with your lenses and hubs? What are you promoting - how are you going to get traffic to these pages?

I dont got any lenses or hubs yet, and I dont know how to get traffic to them either but i'll try to figure something out. :)
 
So, I bought a domain. Now im just going to figure out how to make the best out of it and what to do with it.
Will keep reading trough the forums but if anyone got advice, pm me. Thanks!

I admire your motivation! I've never had to overcome an addiction of any kind, so I can only imagine how hard it must be. As far as your IM journey, you've already made the right choice by coming to BHW. There are a lot of experts here who will gladly help you if you show them that you're helping yourself and putting out a good effort.

Well its a journey right? And my journey started when I began thinking about this.
 
Okay, so I have been thinking all day and I think I now how I am going to do now.
The domain I bought got a LoL related name so I will make a easy webdesign, Some information and then the where the money will come from, I'll obtain 5 skin codes or Rp codes and put 5 diffrent links for sharecash and they will be able to download and first one to finish will obtain. People wont now when they get used so everyone will try and if the first doesnt work they might try the other four aswell. I will also have adsense banners. Now to the traffic, as I said earlier I got my personal Tumblr and I got about 830 followers atm and I usually get 3~ new followers when I add alot of pictures to the queue and do 25 posts per day.
Today I downloaded packs of funny/trending pictures close to 6000 pictures, I will use them all in a Tumblr software I found here on BHW ( Sorry, I dont remember from who. ) And I will be putting my domain as link on the picture and I am gathering credits on Vagex atm so I will be making a LoL video with a link to my domain in the information and boost it with views.
Do you think this will work? Sorry if its a bit messy.
 
Made the site now, added link to sharecash and I'm about to start getting traffic, I'm just having some trouble with the editing on the site. PM me if you want to take a look at the site and give advice on how to make it better.
 
So far I've made 0.90$ from sharecash on my site.
Trying to get more traffic, still spamming my tumblr with 50 pictures a day with push-trough link.
Trying to get some footage and credits on vagex for a youtube video where a link to my site will be added.
Also browsing internet for places to drop my link to intrested people.
While getting footage from LoL I drop my link to people I play against, seems to work. Also dropping it to randoms on omegle.
 
Still 0.90$ Made from sharecash.
Added Adsense ads not alot made from it.
Tumblr does'nt seem to be working for trafic.
Got any advice?
 
Addictions are tough, and you're so young. Hang in there! Stay focused on what you want and what makes you happy and healthy, and DON'T for any reason even mess with gambling. I know someone who gambled hundreds of thousands of dollars and their house away. Don't go down that path.
 
There are two things I know after reading your post.

1. You are young.
2. I am old and officially disconnected from the times and current trends.

I started to realize this when the practice of "sexting" came about. I did not know what it was, but at least I've heard of the term itself.

But "eWhoring" ???

Damn dude.. I am 28 ...and I'm apparently OLD.
 
Best advice I can give you is to create a city local directory and start selling ads and registrations for a yearly fee. You will start to see some green in no time just find a decent WP city directory script or pm me.

I live near a casino and have watched a guy win 40k and give it all back in 2 hours kind of sad...good luck on your journey.
