Thought I'd create a journal of the progress with my "Pay Per Unlock" network Passwordin.com. It's a network that I have worked on almost completely by myself for the last month or two. It used to be an idea I had until I decided to make it real. And here it is.

Basically, my users lock passwords, keys or phrases. They are unlocked by anyone by completing an offer. So my users can for example monetize beta keys for games, account passwords or auth passwords.. torrents.. anything really. I don't accept copyrighted content, though.

Keep in mind that I'm 18 years old and I don't have a lot of experience. I've been trying some different IM methods for a year or two, but never had any big success (aka patience). I am trying my best here. What I have is some basic PHP experience and graphics design pretty much.

Investments so far
$15~ ****** traffic
$8~ .com domain on namecheap.com
$9~ hostgator hosting

What is done so far
The basics are finished. People can lock passwords, manage passwords, edit them, delete them. They can earn money, and there are statistics.

What has to be done
I need serious users to start earning money so there can be profit. So far, I've only had a few, and they haven't earned a lot. I have also got some members using proxies to complete surveys, which I had to ban, but until date I have made about $400 with my network, and 0 has to be paid out since nobody has got over the threshold legitly.

So that's my priority right now. Get a kickstart.

If anybody has any advice or suggestions, I am happy to hear :D I will be posting progress here, and let you know what I am working on and how it turns out.

adfly traffic is hard to convert but it converts well if you use it right. #nopm

That sort of website will do great with Social traffic.
Make all the payouts in the beginning without a set threshold, that'll make people realizes yours is a legit website and it'll drive potential visitors and also motivate current earners to earn more.

Yeah. My money spent on advertising Passwordin on ****** was a waste, forgot to mention that.

I have seen that website before.
In my opinion it looks promising. As you say all you need is traffic. Also, make sure you have a referral system if you don't have it yet.
Good luck with it!
