My issues with linklicious. Am I wrong?

I don't get how anybody is agreeing with this fucking moron...

The customer is not ALWAYS right. They teach you that 'Customer is always right' bullshit when you're working low end retail shit jobs. In the real world outside of Footlocker customer service cashier clerks, you learn how to handle each situation differently. One of which is dealing with a rather immature piece of shit customer. Look at his 'Poor little me' tone throughout this entire thread, sharing his sob story to a black hat SEO forum in hopes to get attention.

I use my coupon code every month, on time, and I don't pay any extra money... nor have I once EVER had a problem with it. If anything, the customer in this situation was trying to weasel his way into free links.

Linkalicious is completely in the right here, not only for the fact that they offer the coupon code as GIFT to being a customer, but they've handled this situation better then I think most businesses would have.

lol Thanks...we got about 20 IM's of people saying the same thing. We appreciate the support =)

I'm with Linkalicious on this one, the whole "the customer is always right" bullshit is juvenile rubbish that you would expect when working in mcdonalds. They obviously treat their customers well but there is no reason they should have to put up with this level of idiocy and stupidy.

Oh and just another thing to take note of...

Most of the people in this thread whom are siding with the customer's bullshit are accounts with 1-10 posts... whereas the ones who are siding with L's handling of this situation are ranging from 100-1,000.

I found that in itself to be hilarious. Almost as if the customer created other accounts to post under to help his case.

If one customer being unhappy would cause your company to have a poor image, your efforts should be focused on having a larger customer base, and maintaining your main service while keeping them happy... not with this ready to please everybody attitude, making everything seem so black and white. This customer that posted complaining about something being GIVEN to him, what a snotty bastard. Not only was he expecting it, but demanding it? He had every right to been told off.

Point being, this is the FIRST complaint I've ever heard about them, and not only was my view of their company unchanged, I'm still a paying customer and will continue to be for a very, very long time.

Let me remind you,

They are GIVING away these COUPONS. I could care less if they even stopped giving that coupon out to customers, because that coupon isn't what sold me. It's their excellent service. The coupon is just an extra added treat.

Wow, thanks brother! We really appreciate the support. Check you Pm, I want to send you something =)

Yes, I noticed that too lol. Oh well, no worries. Despite losing him we somehow managed to continuing to do well, growing in customers everyday. We still give out free coupons that are generally, happily accepted by our loyal customers who don't complain or demand them ;P

Sorry have to side with the OP on this one. Your site clearly states that the Pro Plan is $54.50 for the month. If I was signing up and saw I was being charged more than stated on your site, you wouldn't have to worry about a 10 cent charge back because you would have lost my business from the start.

Just noticed this and to clarify, you don't understand what your talking about. LINKLICIOUS is 54.50 a month. (pinging service) He is then allowed a credit of $54.50 that he can spend at ONEHOURBACKLINKS.COM (different website we own that sells backlinks)....instead of spending $54.50 or less, he tried to spend MORE than the credit we gave him and he bought $54.60 in back links (.10 more than the free credits we gave him)

He paid the remanding .10 with paypal, and then he either charged back the .10 once he got it, OR his bank didn't honor it. So...no, we don't state that we charge 54.50 on our website and then actually charge more..HE tried to buy more links then we offered in credits...get it?

Yea Rotzee's response is horrible since he is representing the company, but other than that, I respect his bold honesty.

LoL, seriously... chargeback 10 cents....

suggestion to Rotzees: sync up the prices so the customer doesn't have to pay 10 cents in paypal. That is just as ridiculous as the customer charging it back.

^ We can't sync it because people can spend it differently, some may buy No Follows, some may buy Do Follows, some may buy PR1+ and they all cost differently and will come out to different prices.

I have been dealing with HKSEO for a few weeks and emailed when I had a problem understanding what was happening with my links...it was my misunderstanding but was dealt with in a professional and courteous manner. I now understand what I was doing wrong and the service is superb for my uses.

The key in business (in my honest opinion) is to be pleasant and discuss things openly and ASK for help. It always works for me.

The other thing about the customer always being right is old hat and just not true. Some business owners don't know how to run a business, and a lot of customers expect far more than they pay for. I had a client last week who rang me up swearing at me and threatening me because he couldn't get into his membership website. Turns out he was using the incorrect password. No sorry or anything from him so I have asked him to take his business elsewhere.

You can choose who you do business with if you are running your own business and if people start to diss you in public then you can answer back...or is this 1939??
