My IOS APP , monetizing ect.

Hey guys ,

So ive had my iOS app out for about 3.5 months now with roughly 55k downloads. Im constantly getting 500-700 organic downloads daily - and if i promote it via IG / FB i can get 1000-1500 easily.

Im just wondering about monetizing , at the moment im running just a single ad banner with iAD and if im lucky making $2 per day

Im about to add an in-APP purchase to disable ads and get new features , but im going to add more ads into the free version and was wondering the best network to go with + ad placement , my app is in the social media / video editing category.

I was thinking of having a popup at the start and then again as you finish editing video - is it worth it ?

In the paid version i should get rid of all ads , or maybe keep a banner ?

As you want to put interstitial ads you have to maximize your click rate. A lot of developer put them randomly but it's bad for the user experience (not the most important ) but also for your CPC!

Put an intersitial as splash screen is a good idea because the user can leave your app without losing anything. But if you put this interstitial right in the middle of your app (for you the editing of pictures) he'll want to stay and finish it. He'll quit your ad withour click on it, you'll decrease your CPC and the user'll be bothered.

Your ads need to be "natural", I know it's hard to find the good places but you'll increase your earning rapidly

Hmm yeah thats actually a really good point , maybe i should place one at the very beginning and one just after they save their video to the library...

How are you getting 500-700 downloads per day? None of my apps have been able to get over 100-200 daily downloads. I've also tried promoting on Instagram shoutouts and have gotten almost no clicks.

It seems like your conversion rate is much lower than mine. I usually can get around $0.2-$0.5/ download. You should maybe try to increase the number of ads displayed. I personally find IAP comprise only a small portion of my revenue. Then again, our apps are probably in different categories.
