MY Internet Marketing Journey to earning $50,000 a month in net profit!

This is my journey. I've never done anything like this before, so wish me luck to giving me the po9wer and ability to earn $50,000 a month in net profit.

How I will earn my income:
So far, I am having success in making websites for Business Clients. I charge $200 to get their website up, with content. All in the cloud. Hosting is where I make my money here.
To get to $50k/month, my goal is to do SEO on their business website. I've got 1 Business Client already at 1k/month. I outsource SEO articles, so my profit will be about 60% of 1k = $600/mth. I will also look after my Clients all internet marketing matters (so social included). Its a lot of value, so I hope this will be good.

My goal is to provide cheap services with high value for the first 10 Clients. After 10 Clients, I will bump my pricing to $1,500/mth, and then $2k/mth, and then 3k and so on. Small business will be small, and when I get the medium and big businesses, I will charge higher.

Out of interest how much will you charge for hosting & the contract duration? You don't want clients getting a cheap website & then running off to a cheaper host.

So far I'm charging $11.95/mth. No contract, cancel any time. I just send them an invoice for 12x$11.95= $143.40, and in the description I just let them know they can pay 6 monthly if they want ($71.70)...they usually just pay me for the year. I think in Business, you cannot fear losing Customers. Just give best service and look after them. Most Business Clients just want someone they can call or contact, and will look after them when they need something. You wouldnt want those cheap Clients anyway...they will make you do more work for peanuts.

My software is just a website builder, with lots of features. So Clients don't get the source code. They can get a backup of all their data, but they cannot just simply run off. Awhile back, I thought about hosting mass amounts of websites and make passive income there, but after awhile, you will find it takes too long.

SEO is key to getting good quality Clients. I just need about 80, and that should be $50k/mth net profit. Why $50k/mth? They say aim high, and then aim just a little bit higher...because if you fail...at least you will already be earning a lot.

Keep an eye out - I know when I start banking Clients and they see my results...they going to love me and refer me like I am a money making machine.

For Businesses - it all has to be white hat. So I outsource just the SEO articles only. I don't let anyone do any link building as that can be dangerous if they start spamming. When I see results, I will give my source of SEO writers. So far, I have 1 company, but I've got 2 more connections so I will test them out too. I am on paying cheap SEO articles first, and when my Clients website is strong, I will focus on their winning articles and beef it up.

So far, I am using keywordrevealer.com for my keyword ideas. I cut and paste it into google drive sheets, and then go through and find buying keywords (location of a City), and then sort through them and rank which articles to focus on and I give those keywords to my SEO Writers.

Its been awhile. Status update: 1 existing Client signed up to my SEO Package!
* So what happened was, 2 days ago, one of my existing Client wanted to talk about his SEO content on his website. I came over to his place, and he just wanted some points edited. Could have been done over the phone to be honest, but it was good that I went over. I didn't charge him for my time, just came over as a friend to help him out. I help him set up his business laptop, installed from free programs, just talked about his business. He wanted to be rank 1 over his competitors.
* I just educated him on how SEO works, and told him all the stuff I know about SEO and how to rank in Google. I told him I can do this, and that. He was in.
* I asked him how much he wanted to spend a month, and he said up to me. Open cheque book. But he is a very good Client, so I will be looking after him.
* So closing point: Give lots of value, and always look for the close.

Side note: I'm going over to upwork to look for SEO writers. Cheap writers here don't really give full service. I want to hire a cheap SEO Writer that I can direct them to my writing style, the way I want it. There's some good ones, but I will test them all out. I will give repeat orders to the good ones. I pretty much just ask for a quote of their price for 500 word SEO article.

Status Update: One of my existing Clients want to do PPC google adwords now! Been reading and researching on this topic. It's like a whole new field.
I'm not sure how to charge my Client yet. Since he is the first, I'll most likely won't charge him for my time. I did buy some adword vouchers for Australia $100 and charged him $25 for it. So profited there.
Client wants to spend $10/day to test the waters. So with the voucher, at least he has extra ammo so I can play and split test.
I'm 98% confident I can get a postive ROI for him, as he profits about $250/sale for his service.
I will be doing a lot of split testing.

What I've found out so far for adwords:
* Google has a call option where Users can tap the number and it calls the Client automatically - I'll track 3minutes = successful conversion for my ROI
* Must set up conversion tracking - Mobile call duration; Filling in form
* Remarketing is an interesting concept - this is where User after leaving Landing Page (LP), gets bombarded with Google Display Network with the same ad. I won't test this feature yet until I get a successful ROI for Client
* Have Clear Call to Action on LP.
* Relevancy - Very Important: Make sure keyword I am bidding on shows up on LP - for Relevancy. The more relevant your LP is for your kw, the cheaper your Cost Per Click. So kw must be in ad and LP.
* Make sure I am selling benefits, and not features. Users wants to buy Benefits.
* You can call Google up on toll free number and ask for your Google Strategist assigned to your account - to ask for advice. They are paid to make sure their advice gives positive impact, and not how much you spend.
* You can exclude IP - always monitor the IPs and remove those that keep clicking but no converts.

I will be testing my ads first. Title; Headling; First Line; Second Line; Display URL. First trail will be getting CTR. Play around with these until about 8 - 10% CTR.
Second test is LP: Using the winning ad, test LP and check for Users filling forms. The Client's mobile number will be hard to track as Client uses same number, so I wont be tracking that.

I start the adword on Monday, so when this goes good, I will roll this out as one of my services and start charging Clients money to look after their adword PPC.

Oh, and I also did the same with my one of my other Client. I emailed my other Client the voucher code - said I bought adword vouchers in bulk as its cheaper, and if he wants it I can do his google adwords Pay Per Click - he gets $100 credit by buying the voucher for $25. So I profited there too. This is the email template if anybody wants to use it (with details removed). Both my Clients know each other, so I used that context as a reason to letting him know of the adwords, but you can reword it to your liking.

I think if I can get my Clients enough calls, Client will continue the adwords. If he closes and gets positive ROI - he will scale up his budget for sure - then I can cash in for the admin fee as I am giving Client value.

Note: Client can use the voucher and bypass me! Its a risk you take, but its ok as you just do it with your good Clients. Bad ones you will know, and you stay clear away from them.

This Client called me today asking me about it. So you'll need to know all the info I mentioned above and educate your Client so he knows value.

from my experience, you really should charge for that time. Having had the so called friendly client always ended up with me footing bills that aren't my own. Charge for your time. They'll take you seriously. Next time before he calls you for a chat in his office, he'd have something worthwhile or simply email you.

LOL... hate to burst your bubble but those $100 vouchers you're selling to your clients can be had for free by anyone. $10 / day in PPC spend.... $300 AUD a month.... wow... how much are you charging for that? How do you plan to scale to reach $50k a month in profit working for $2 / hour? Time machines.... more time in the day?

Good luck IbStar. Its hard work at first, but I'm sure once I get more results, and outsource it, systemise and then automate it...it will just scale up naturally. $5 profit here, $300 profit there, $20 profit here and there, if its automated and scaleable, they all add up. I think key is when starting out, don't focus on the profits - provide maximum value and the profits will come.

I've got some people lined up on Upwork now - I can get 25k words for $100 = $0.004/word = $2/500 words. I've got 3 guys lined up - so I will test their quality and keep getting new ones until I find a good quality one.

I've got another guy lined up to put those articles onto websites too - I plan to pay him $2/page - he just has to format it and do the layout, as the templates already done.
I'm going to set it so that if Client makes changes, the SEO and Developer has to change without charge - so all my costs is fixed and I know what the profits are.
When I make more money, I will pay higher rates to quality Outsourcers - so I can keep them longer term and make them happy.
