My Internet Marketing Journal!!
A little about me:
-It was about two years ago that I started to try to make money online. The first year was spent with time wasted on PTC sites, and scams like that. I didn't get scammed out my money, just my time.
I was reading some forums about making money online, and someone mentioned blackhatworld. I joined, and was blown away by all of the information here. I got information overload. A few more months were wasted bouncing back between methods, and not dedicating myself to anything in particular.
Then I found the power of my non-softblocked dsl connection for craigslist. I made some good money there, but the ewhoring section got removed from bhw, and my dsl got completely softblocked for some reason, so I ending up stopping promoting.
Where I'm at right now:
-I've been reading a LOT about SEO. I've been using BHW, and TheVault (if you think BHW world is bad for info overload, then wait until you get into this torrent site). Thats the route that I'd like to go into for now. When I make money from my SEO ventures then I plan on reinvesting it to outsource my SEO, and move into getting some paid traffic (media buys/adwords/etc.). I've got a lot of knowledge, but now I need to apply it and expiriment a little.
What I've Got:
-Accounts all almost all of the major CPA networks, and most of the minor ones
-aWeber Account (It's an aweber reseller. Exact same service, same servers, just cheaper)
-Scrapebox
-Hostgator Shared Hosting
-Time (I don't have a job, and would love to never have to work one. So besides working out, all of my time will be going to internet marketing)
What I'm Working On Now:
I went out and did some keyword research using market samurai. I found two keywords that I would like to try to rank for. I got the exact keyword domain for one (.net), and I added a short word to the end of the other one and picked up the .com.
One of them was a product review site, and the other was a squeeze page I setup, that sent them to a presell for a clickbank product.
I got both of them indexed using the links2rss trick, and I build three web 2.0 properties for each. I also got the web 2.0 properties indexed using the trick. I scrapebox blasted the properties, and I'm going to let the links be found naturally by google.
Where to Go From Here:
I'm running a bit short on money, and I'd like to get some more domains, so I think I'm going to start buying .info's. I've heard they rank the same, so it shouldn't matter.
I'm going to do some keyword research over the next few days and pick out a few more domains.
I'm also going to build a few more web 2.0 properties for my existing sites to see if they move up in the rankings at all.
One last Thing:
If you have any general questions, then please just post them in this thread, because I'm sure a lot of people have the same exact ones. However, if it's more sensitive information, then just drop me a PM.
Any input would be greatly appreciated. SEO is difficult, and I'd appreciate any help I can get.
I will update this journal often, as I continue with my internet marketing journey.
