I had the same thing happen when I posted my experience with BHS VPS... the guy who runs BHS VPS started a war against me and submitted my email address to thousands of mailing lists, and also made thousands of rude blog comments in what he thought was my name... so if you've used BHS VPS, this could be what's happened

They could be using a mailing service so it will be separate from the host that is hosting their website.
