So I decided to put together a few words about my IM ventures, the story is not really accurate (I don't remember everything) and it's shorten, few details are missing but all together it should make sense.
I got into IM back in 2008, friend of mine mentioned in conversation that he's making some money optimizing websites for search engines and monetizing it by adsense. I already had some experience with creating websites and even adsense but I knew nothing about SEO. I had no idea I could just create website based on keyword research and make money off it, back then I was creating websites just for fun about topics I liked. It didn't take me long to figure out the SEO basics and within a week I had 3(4?) sites up and running, all on wordpress with free templates and mostly stolen and rewritten content. So I started to do some linkbuilding, pretty much all I did was submitting the sites to ~200 directories (all done manually by myself, good times) and the sites started to make some money (like $2-5/day or so). After some time I hit a few gold niches and was making around $50/day.
For some reason I'm not gonna get into I decided to invest my money into domain parking (registering typos and stuff). During one year I invested close to $5000 into domains, lot of them were making money. Really small money. Like $10/year/domain profit. Which is good, because there were virtually no expenses tied to that, all I had to do was scale everything up.
That's where it all started to fall apart, I'm sorta not good with organizing things and using multiple domain registrars and parking companies (mostly sedo, namedrive and parked) didn't help that. After a year when my mailbox became flooded with expiration warnings from registrars I was unable to retrieve and sift through all the data from parking companies and decide which domains I should keep, also the profits from individual domains were really low so I let it all go to hell and expire. What a shame, today I'd do it all better.
The next chapter was registering on BHW (don't even know how I got here) and learning about blackhat. I made shitload of autoblogs and started comment spamming with scrapebox. Also I was selling some blog commenting gigs on fiverr. That was good, I was making money but handling scrapebox, scanning proxies, spinning comments, it was all boring and I didn't like it very much.
Next thing I did was buying Tweet attacks. After many beginner's mistakes and losing accounts I finally got a good grip on everything and started making few bucks daily which I really liked because I saw the potential to scale it up. That I did and in no time I was making close to $100/day (hardware limit, more threads in TweetAttacks my piece of shit computer couldn't handle). Right when I was really happy with everything and in process of picking components for a brand new kickass computer for my twitter marketing it all went to shit. Tweet Attacks servers were shut down by court order and TA creator disappeared. (anybody knows what he's up to these days?). That was March 2012.
In the fall of 2012 (approx) I decided to buy Tweet Demon because I believed my twitter methods are still sound and I could pick up where I left. The good thing was that I had over 20.000 twitter accounts from Tweet Attacks era. Not bad, right?
So I tweaked my methods, the suspensions were much worse than I remembered but I was doing good, making decent moeny (not gonna disclose the number) and I burned through all accounts sometimes in June this year. And I decided to take a break from all this, focus on finishing my studies and some other stuff.
Yesterday I decided to give it another try, just for fun, so I created a few accounts (fresh), today I sent out some replies and made almost $30. It still works. I'm checking the accounts right now and no suspensions. During this summer I should be able to scale it up a little and make a few bucks again.
What's the moral of this story? As you can see I tried quite a few things and failed many times. Made some money and lost some money. And I'm not giving up, IM is a lifestyle for me. I'm probably gonna get a dayjob so I wouldn't be so bored all the time (also I should cut down on my drinking) but IM is something I wanna do for the rest of my life.

Nice journey btw, it's good that you're still on the track, never giving up, but you need to think of the big jump!
