Hi guys, i need a host suggestion cause the old one got burned and assholes didnt tell me.
someone suggested me servage. anyone tried it.

i am also looking for a good webhost.
thinking of servage.

any reviews ??

What do you need from a host? Multiple domains, unlimited bandwidth?

I am interested in buying a "reputed" webhosting service with following features:

1. Unlimited B/W, Space and Domains.
2. Wildcard DNS for hosting Wordpress MU sites.
3. IonCube PHP Encoder.
4. Must support the following php modules

fopen, fread, readfile, file_get_contents, curl, explode

I am reading Hostgator is good but does it support all the above features ?

edit: My dreamhost server doesnt support wpmu installation and fopen etc
Thanks!

I was going to suggest hostgator. Visit their website and click on live chat and ask them. I think they might support it all.

Hostgator sucks.

I guess it is cheap enough - but make sure you read the small print especially about inodes. If you have an "unlimited" account and start getting serious traffic you can be assured they will take your site down OR severely throttle it.

Mojohost is great but way more expensive.

I recently got fatcow as a host, besides the fact that they use pre-typed answers for their 'live chat' they seem decent. I got a hosting for a year, $40, unlimited domains, bandwidth and disk space + you get a free domain. Only thing that sucks is they do not allow remote sql or ssh access..

09-01-2009? O.o well anyways. I suggest you to find a offshore hosting since they are cheap and most are bulletproof. You can even use nulled scripts on them. You just got to look hard for a reliable hosting from them (netherlands is good).

Try hostgator, it's pretty good I think ;)

My host is killing me too

just signed up myself, support is excellent.

I'm currently using hostgator for my reseller account and have no complaints.

I use bluehost as well, and they aren't too bad for a cheaper company. (works out free for me usually as the affiliate link on my site is good for a sign up every couple of months)

Used 1on1 for a bit, but was seriously not impressed.

lol, thanks, i was about to comment until you pointed this out

Hostclear $36 for domain name and set up and 4.99 a month with unlimited bandwidth and disk space and e mail account. Bunch of other stuff as well. give a look.

or

Lunarpages set up is a little bit more and so is monthly fee but they have the best support team i have ever seen and when they say there up time is 99.9% there not kidding. Those are my two picks, i use for my self and clients.

I guess You wouldn't be too excited about 1on1 as it is not a hosting company, but a Student Acquisition Company.
1and1 on the other hand is a great hosting company. :D

LOL, I stand corrected. I actually went and checked.

Funny thing is if you type in 1on1 they (1and1) are in the number one spot.

either way. I had too much down time, and my load times were too slow.

for shared hosting and reseller hosting ,dont bother going beyond hostgator,i dont know if they are best but they are better than others.if you want to host more than 1 site then get the baby plan,it should cost you $8/m with coupon..

lol,why i am promoting them

Here is one hosting site I have used for years and never had any problems, so may want to check out. The price is right.

To err is human, to forgive is divine. I knew what You meant, just having fun.
I agree 1and1 is troublesome at times. :)
