My host doesn't authorize SMTP

Hello,

I am using a hosting and cloud IP address from a service I found here on BHW. I needed a host where I can host multiple websites with different IP addresses cheaply and have their separate identities so it's easier to manage and not have to buy a separate hosting each time - this is why I got their service only to find out that they don't allow SMTP for me to receive and send emails which is actually equally important.

Their solution was for me to get an email forwarder. However, since I needed these websites to have their own identities, having their own IPs and all, I needed to also have their own emails where I can receive and send emails too and not have to forward the emails to an email account. I needed them to look professional because of the nature of these sites.

i found that I can use google worksuite to forward the MX entries but worksuite is actually very expensive with me having to pay $6 monthly for each email address, which defeats the purpose of me getting the host as I was looking for a cost-effective solution

is there a way for me to solve this issue? Your expert advises would really help. Thank you!

You wouldn't need SMTP to be able to receive, that would be either POP or IMAP. Most cloud hosts will disable SMTP as it's too easily abused. You should be able to use Zohomail to manage both receiving and sending for multiple domains, you'll just need to make some changes to your MX records. I think the $1 a month option will probably work unless you plan on sending thousands of emails etc.

You can use cloudflare and from there choose a custom e-mail provider such as Zoho, add their MX records (there's plenty of guides for it). It will do the job for you and is free

Use cloudflare? You don’t need to change the hosting. Just use cloudflare as a dns provider only. Point the A records to your existing hosting ip, and add mx records for the email provider. Zoho might offer some free domain email for upto 3 emails.

In your situation, Zoho may ban you if you use their free email plan for SMTP bulk sending especially when used with a third-party mailer application. I have tried it before and it was hell hole.

Yes their deliverability is superb too but just take their ZOHO WORKPLACE plan if you are really serious about using them for business. Plus they have country-based discount so you could be lucky.

If i take their standard plan, can i use for bulk or mass mailing? i dont know, i read somewhere that they stopped mass mailing, is it true?

With the zoho workplace, standard plan, how many domain can set up for smpt?

zoho seems to have to a lot of products (zoho crm, zeptomail, zoho mail, zoho campaigns) , which of them is used to mass or bulk emailing?
