My Google Chrome Review

Hmm, i want the google toolbar plugin for the google browser...Wait, not ready yet...darn.

Without the addon capabilities that I have with Firefox it is basically useless to me.

i give 4 out 5 for chrome..its quite fast compare to IE & FF..

In terms of data gathering..someone must take not of it..

In terms of application...i think big G will starting to focus on application installing like toolbar.

My overall opinion is stay with IE or FF if you are blackhat.. this will keep u under the G radar

The browser has a lot of potential but is still unpolished. Might be best to stick with FF for now. I'm going FF for a little longer anyways.

Tried out chrome, I believe google should have teamed up with mozilla rather than bring out their own browser, it seems uneccessary, and that's before you start thinking about what google can see when your browsing doing your blackhat stuff etc, better to stick with firefox.

Does anyone have any idea when they might bring this out for a mac?

its blazing fast and seems like they are on the right track...but i still prefer firefox

Chrome still needs a lot of work to be done on it. To me it renders very similar to FF. I still need to use IE, because some web pages only work in IE. Chrome has the same problem as FF when those pages are loaded. So I think Google cheated and basically used FF code as a base. Seriously how weak is that.

as far as monopolies, this browser is suppose to be the base platform take aim straight at office, photoshop, visual studio, etc. They still have a long way to go. I wonder if they take code from the gimp and other freebie programs.

Google is good for sending me traffic and paying me at the end of the month. I dont like when one big company has so much control and data, i will stick with Firefox for personal browsing.

I agree. I too will be sticking with firefox.

I think it's too soon to tell anything. I prefer FF for it's security but I have to admit that this new browser looks really good on the surface. Once the security holes are exposed and we see how they respond to close them, that will determine if I continue to use it or not. Functionality wise it appears really good as a beta goes though...

Google Chrome is amazing, although have few little bugs is beta version and I love it. Much faster than FireFox

4.5/5 I love it. The browser is so simple and elegant. The sheer "lightness" of it made my day. Much faster for me as well and not as much of a resource hog, which is great on my older computer.
I am concerned about how exactly this will "pay off" for google and am not using it for anything BH, however, great for casual surfing.

I like it and hate it. It looks really good, but acts like a step son!! Crashes all the time. ATM there are no add ons. But this is the beta. I know and you know Google wants to record everybodies searching habits along with having a marketing product.

I say let's all stick to FF, give Chrome a year or so to get all the bugs worked out and maybe some badass odd ins. For now I deleted it off my pc.

Has anyone done a test on Cookie handling, especially 3rd party cookie?

I agree with the people complaining about google upscaling their territory. It's purely business. Put yourself in their shoes, you got the resources to do it, your saying you ain't going to? Give me a break lol
