Warning: The content below in controversial...

My friend, Dave, has been doing CB and SEO for a long period of time.

He currently owns more than 20 niche sites for various CB products.

According to him, it was really profitable by targeting product name keywords using churn and burn method.

Until the beginning of 2016 when he saw a sharp decrease in conversion rate.

Then, he noticed there is an increasing trend that more people are starting PPC campaigns which are directly targeted on CB product names...

You may have a try, when you type a CB product name in G, there must be lots of ads showing "exclusive bonus" for the particular CB product.

You gave a lot of effort to gain a higher rank, but the SERP is simply "hijacked" by those ads, so you want to remove those ads in the SERP, so as to increase the real position of you site.

    So what you will do...

My friend, Dave, he just told some of his friends who are "interested" in the "exclusive bonus" for the particular CB product and

ask them to CLICK ON THOSE ADS to see if any real bonus.

At the end, there is no real exclusive bonus and no purchase is made by Dave's friends.

But the advertisers have to pay for their PPC expense, so eventually they made a loss for their PPC campaigns.

    The end result...

Those "unfair" PPC campaigns stopped and Dave's sites have higher search engine CTR and conversion rate again.

I guess he asked lots of people to click on the ads that are directly targeted on CB product name. It make a substantial cost to the particular advertiser, making the PPC campaign not profitable.

If CB don't ban them, they made a profit doing those PPC campaigns targeted directly on the product name. If your page is listed in the organic SERP and enjoy a high position, you may want to see those ads disappear. The best method is to make those PPC campaigns not profitable before CB doing anything.

Usually advertisers keep a budget frame in mind for the fake clickers, and once identified by the advertisers, this can be stopped too by blacklisting /banning the clicks from those IPs.

I've been there. If you know how expensive it is to bid on product names you won't think they have such an "unfair" advantage.

I think doing PPC for product name keywords is not a sustainable business model. Even among advertisers, they will click on other ads from their competitors.

Waiting to see some people share the dirty trick in PPC forum: Click on other advertiser's ads and let them run out of daily budget ASAP and you will dominate the ads space for the product name keyword..

That is highly monitored by Google, Yahoo, Bing in order to prevent click fraud. You would spend more money on proxies, vpns, machines and the required stuff than If you add that money into your account to bid higher.

PPC is just a game for experienced media buyers. It needs much tracking and money behind to test. Yeah, you can always find by luck that golden nut keyword that matches with a product that coverts, but it´s not usual.

Many vendors will recommend you to try PPC as it´s a win-win situation for them. You risk your money , and even if you make sales, you can end up losing money because of future refunds. While for them, any sale you made them it´s a profit.

And it should be set up, at least with how we're doing it... If they click an Ad they won't see that same one again for xx days until we re-target them.

This method is hardly work because
First, there are tons of affiliates promoting the same products (no chance to remove all the ads)
Second, advertisers easily change the location of the target, so if they are getting lots click with no conversion they change the targeted location

My friend and his team just click on ads that directly target the product name keywords.
And his team is based on the US. Those advertisers wont miss the US market.
