My friend got wrongly banned!

Sorry i wasnt sure where to put this so i put it in this thread:(


Hi guys just wondering if anyone can help my friend narushigo
He was looking for verified paypal account and posted in the sell your services threads by accident
He was immediately permbanned after that. He's been trying to contact the mods but hes not getting any answers. He loves this forum And really wants to be reinstated! Can anyone help?

What illfounded21 said, but to add to that, it might be good to come at with the complete story so that mods know why and what... And remember, as much as he loves these forums, the mods are there to also keep things in order... Your friend need to read the TOS, so he doesn't jack up his account again.
 
I think, there might be more to this story. Mods wouldn't Permanently ban someone unless he/she is a repeat offender or he/she has flouted some major forum rule. However, I can empathize with your friend, and if he has been banned by mistake, then you need to send PM to mods. Hope something can be done in your friend's case.
 
we don't allow buying or selling of paypal accounts here; that's why your friend was banned.

we don't ban people for simply posting in the wrong section.
 
I guess too many people think that "blackhat" means we condone shady (illegal?) stuff. Pity.

I agree. Especially newbies have this perception, and when they are banned, then they cry foul. I have had really good experience on this forum, and noticed that Mods on this forum are fairly understanding when compared to other IM forums.
 
Is he looking to hire someone to get his friend unbanned by posting here in the HAF section....you're committing the same mistake :p


Next time post in suggestions and feedback section or in the lounge.

He was a newbie and that was his only his second post
He got banned right after for the post
I think you thosught he was trying to sell something witgout paying the fee
Can you please check?

From the perspective of the banned it's clear that all bans are wrongly put on innocent people by these bloodthirsty mods. :sgrin:

Wiz, how about a second chance, am sure everyone deserve one, sure this was an honest mistake, post the wrong thing that shouldn't of been posted, not aware that you not allowed to post such a thing in the first place

I did not ban the individual in question, and a general rule
among the Mods is that we never over-ride another Mod's
decision. Only an Administrator can over-ride a Mod's decision.

You need to read what he wrote not just what you want to see. Even you said that your friend was looking for verified paypal accounts - reguardless of whether he was looking to sell or buy, NEITHER is allowed here. He was not banned for attempting to sell, he was banned because he was trying to buy or sell paypal accounts - which is against our TOS.

That was his mistake, not posting in the wrong forum.

PS. I am not saying that he shouldn't be considered for a 'temp-ban' vs 'perma-ban' from the orig mod... I'm just clarifying why he was banned in the first place cause you seemed to have missed that.
