My first stab at Wordpress, Please critique first WP site

Always used Xsite to make my sites , so I thought Id give wordpress a go. Its a strange thing to get your head around trying understand a new platform. I started a blog based on personal interest for my best mate. So monetizing not a big priority, just a practice site ATM. Would like some constructive input on this. payed for a monster template thats hard as hell to modify (had to learn flash) all them Seo tag plugins make it look tacky Not that impressed with wordpress, its pretty limited.
Site only at ground level , looking for direction before adding craploads of content ,and advice on whats wrong with it so far .

Looks like a good start. The flash intro seems to take a long time to load. I like wordpress because it seems simple to use. I've tried a few other content management systems, but I agree it's tough to start learning a new system after you've used another for a long time. Good Luck!

I swear by wordpress because of the ease of use, even though it may be somewhat limiting. Nice start.

looks, good mate. as with learning any new program.. there is a trial & error period. you can pretty much do whatever you want with wordpress. keep at it!
