Hi... So I have the money to hire a webdesigner and probably have the products (nice slippers, from a parent's company, I'll try to get 50% profit comissions).
But that's about it! I have little experience with adwords etc, maybe this webdesigner can help me more. I dont have many ideas on how to rank a sales website as well.
Can anyone help me with this project? Anything would be highly appreciated.
I know adsense is very expensive so thats probably out of question.

    Thanks!

Hmm, I probably would do a little more research on keyword research. Is this site a blog?

Longtail pro is a popular tool. Also Google Adwords' keyword tools are good for suggesting. Also maybe pull a Semrush report on a competitor and see what they're using.

And if you're targeting Brazil (or whatever country) use backlinks FROM that place. French backlinks are worthless for ranking in Brazil's Google for instance.

Check your competitors first and try to figure out where are creating links.

To start the first thing I would do is not hire a web designer. If IM is something you want to do long term, it's better take the time and learn a little about different CMS's (Magento or Wordpress w/ WooCommerce). You can save a ton of money simply by purchasing a theme club membership for $60 and you get dozens of themes. It will take a little longer but then you'll have the knowledge to start other sites.

As was said above use Google AdWords to check your keywords and check your competitors. Also, look into creating an Amazon store, if you haven't already.

I would suggest you create a amazon store to start with before you build the site. Do some reading on how to promote a amazon store. This can yield a few sales every month if you do it right.

Then, spend some time doing keyword research. Find out if people are already searching for your products using your brand name. Those will be the easiest sales.

Build a decent looking, no frills website without spending a lot of money initially. If people are searching using your brand name, they will end up on your site and you will have sales.

Next, make a list of your closest competitors and see if they are getting searched for. If they are, explore the possibility of setting up an adwords campaign with remarketing and get those searchers to your website. If you are willing to do some testing and invest money, this can yield results faster than SEO. If you can do this right, you will be able to scale up with Bing and Yahoo as well.

For SEO, you will need quite a bit of content and links as well. Rankings take time to make happen - but the results could be worth the effort.

I guess i'll try an amazon store and save myself from the trouble for now... Probably a brand new site + ad campaign would sell eventually but let's see how that works then, maybe I can save some money and do things easily...

Try to figure out who is your competitors. Then make a strategy for ranking on SERPs. Already a guy shared, use long-tail pro for finding best keywords. Besides, you can also use ahrefs for finding your competitors. Ahrefs few days ago updated their features. They are giving all kind info of your competitors. I think, it will be better for you. Remember, if you want to get ranked, you need to be strategic. If you don't have good experience with it, it will better, if you can hire a good ethical optimizer.

You said, you are selling your parent's product. If you have a budget, you can try with Facebook advertising. :)

Research as much as you can. Get a clear idea of your competition and try to understand their strategy and tactics. You must focus our efforts on targeting the right audience.

    Hi,
I think highlighting the keyword which you are going to use in your sales website is very important, So you should carefully highlight your keyword. Next, promotion is very important. You try to have these both things in your mind....
