My first Niche Site Journey

Until today I am more like the silent observer but now I want to write something to the audience.

I never made a cent online, despite reading for years. This year I decided to finally take action: I tried a few things here and there and I sold a few shirts on amazon MBA. GREAT FEELING!

But that wasn't really satisfying since I don't have the feeling to have much influence on the outcome.

I want to try something else so I will give niche sites a try!

My Goal for this year: Create 2 niche sites with 75k words in 30 different articles. Then check out which articles brought the most traffic and create new content! I will monetize with amazon affiliate at first and if I reach 10k pageviews I will go for ads.

What I have done so far, startet on feb, 5: I finished my first website, 30 articles with 75k words. My first page was english my second will be german because that's my native language and I feel way more comfortable writing in german. (I take this pretty serious, bought stockfotos, bought some content but edit it hard) I will not buy any links or do any link building. I am inspired by income school and try to play the long game!

I am about to start my second website next months.

I have a fulltime job and I will not quit because I love my job. My final goal is to be financially independent with 50 years (30 right now).

Any suggestions for any other great affiliate programm?

this is my first update. Sorry that I missed to answer your posts but I am pretty busy and simply don't want to invest my time in any kind of distraction. (This year, I actually deleted instagram and facebook because of that very reason!)

Now the update:

In the last days I "finished" 29 articles on my secound page with in total 70k words(I outsourced a few articles because I was really tired of writing in the end). Now I have 2 niche sites with 70k words. A few articles actually rank first on google (without any linkbuilding, remember I follow the income school concept.) They say you will earn the first 5$ after 6 months...

Pageviews: On my first nichesite, started on feb5 I got 1014 pageviews the last 30 days. This page is online since feb 5.
On my secound page (german language) I got 360 pageviews the last 30 days. This page is online since april 20.

Monetization:

1. website: 2 months ago I put some amazon links online and one weak ago I startet with adsense: I already earned 10$ with this website the last 30 days! For 1000 visits 10$ is horrible I know, but I hope I can monetize it better. Any Ideas how to monetize a website better? I aim for 20-25 rpm if possible.

I will know start monetizing my second site from now on. Np monetization here until today.

I hope you can give me some tips concerning "how to monetize my website better"!

PS: I don't do any link building because that is not part of income school. I know that link building is highly recommended here, but actually I rank my articles pretty high without a sinlge link So I guess that it seems to work.

10 RPM for just adsense and and affiliate links is very good imo.
For 20+ RPM you'll probably need to develop an info product and get better ads on Mediavine or Adthrive cause adsense pays dogshit.
But you need tens of thousands of pageviews to get accepted to one of those ad networks so I would recommend pumping out and promoting more content first and think about implementing a monetization strategy later.

yup, I will publish 3-4 articles per moths on both sides I guess... First goal is 10k/month... Let's see how it goes....

My only advice would be to understand how long these small niche websites take to start making good money. It's absolutely worth it though. Check out niche pursuits he's got some good stuff you'd find useful.

I wonder if you are me because I'm also German and working on two niche sites, one in German following the income school if you want we could share some ideas and our progress, I think it's interesting to see how well this works with non English sites. Yup I know that, but I am in for the long game. I really don't need quick money, rather I want to have steady (high) income from my sites.

Today I finished both sides with 30 articles each!

Yesterday amazon kicked my ass out of the affiliate programm. Gosh I hate that. But I will not give up. I already but all links back again online and reapplied for the programm.

Both pages are now filled with amazon links (only text form). Adsense is running on page #1 and I applied for page #2.

I will spend the rest of the weak to improve my pinterest skills. nich site pursuits is using a pinterest manger! Does anybody know how this works?

will update more often now, since there seems to be interest in my project!
