My first made-from-scratch template

Hey guys, I had a net outage for a few hours and I was really bored and there wasn't anything I could work on without net access, so I decided to try and make a template from scratch for a domain I had lying around. This is the first template I've made from null, till now I've got around with modifying existing templates and all. Any feedback, good or back, will be appreciated

Nice and clean but the alignment of the body is on the right side? I mean compared to the top navigation panel.

Oh no, it probably looks that way because the image size is bigger than your resolution. Zoom it to 100% and then it'll appear the way it's supposed to.
I used flexible width for header and footer so it'll cover the whole screen, the body is centered and appears in the center.

The body is in the center alright. Probably I have made a mistake reading the scenario. The top navigation bar menus start appearing from he left of the screen and it probably leaves room for other menus, if added in future, on the right of it. Am I right?

It looks nice, you should spark it a bit with an image on the top or something like that.

Yeah, that's about right. Might add a Search Bar there as well

Thanks. And I left space on the top for the logo. Will work on it when I finish adding the content to the website

I would centre the menu to be in line with the rest of the page if I were you. Doesn't look quite right as it is.

Perhaps you would want to take a look at some color palettes while you're at it?

Try to add some color to it, it looks too plain at the moment, but good job.

looks like an Autumn day - flat and depressing
ALWAYS when you design websites you need to have a goal. what you want the website to do? convert products, convert ads, enable discussions, etc. then you just make things as easy as possible for a user to do that

I selected these colours for a reason, they go well with the "niche" the site is about. I could've added other colours if I wanted to( I use FF Rainbow extension), but I decided to go with a minimal amount of colours.
