My first little logo

I think for the beginner logo is ok. Nice original colors. The format is little strange, but at all is nice start!
 
Knowing print and design, that won't reproduce very well, if print isn't your priority than I guess it's fine.
However the colors are too dissonant for my taste. Hard to look at, so I suggest changing to something more "warm" or inviting.

Maybe use modern fonts from google fonts.

Please start learning with Photoshop. It's the best software and you cna do a lot, my first logo with photoshop was better then this. Not because I'm better but because Photoshop is easy to use for this purpose. Only my opinion :D
 
Whoaaa I didn't expect this much attention under this little thread :). I have since then decided to fine tune my skills in attracting clients and letting others design my logos ;). Thank you for all of your advice though!!!

It's a good concept dude, but I'd give it a bit more work, if not just to seperate the words.

I'm no expert. I don't even do design professionally. But I have been dabbling in Photoshop and web design for ten years now.

The colors clash. If that's what your client wants, explain to them that it's a bad color combination. It just doesn't work. On a black/grey background yellow would work. But definitely not yellow and that pink.

The typography is no bueno. The stoke is bad, too.

Like someone previously said, a gradient would be nice.

This logo (with different colors) would fly in the late 90's and into the early 2000's.

I like the little eyebrow stoke thing. That's nice. This can turn into a good and very brandable logo. But as it stands, it is not.
 
I think for a start it is good, but I wouldn't use it on a website personally. The colors and strokes are just not for me, but for a first try, you did very well.
 
It looks pretty decently, practice is the key :)
 
Not bad for a first attempt, but I'd outsource it to someone for $30-50 and get a professional looking one done.

ibro-wart.... is how I read it the first few times... a good logo would have made it clear from the get go that it was eye-brow art.
 
That color scheme hurts my eyes but sometimes that's the key to getting people to look at your stuff. It could be softer overall, seems kinda harsh and jaggedy right now.
