Hi all,

I've never been great with IM. I'm specifically an IT guy, but I'd like a project in the background. So, I've decided to make Kindle Books. I'm going down a comedic route (Easiest to write).

I have my source of content, I am going to be making my own covers etc.

Hopefully, I can get the ball rolling.I am planning on releasing 20+ Free ebooks and getting a following before I start publishing paid for products. I also plan on doing 1 'pocket' book per week.

My criteria for each 'pocket' book:

  • Minimum of 5 pages.
  • Custom Front Cover
  • Illustrations
  • Spend no more than $5

Current Target: $10 a day
Spent: $0
Profit: $0
Total: $0

I will also be posting book art here to show you how I'm progressing.

I got a demo book up. Will see how it fares, my first book is coming along well. Got page 10/15 done!

Will reveal more tonight.
 
If you have high quality content! I am sure you can succeed. I was making $200-300 every 6 weeks or so 2 years ago ..pretty much on autopilot and with 10-15 books...but the quality of my books wasn't very good... So focus on quality!!! I don't know what source of content means but if you are using plr or indian writers you are not on a good path!
 
Nice I like Kindle journeys. Focus more on the marketing that you think you need to, less on the writing. It's more important to become an expert and producing and marketing books, not writing them.

So, my first book was a FAILURE. Didn't break 100 FREE sales. It's okay! I'l be working on my next title on a different niche! It's all about testing the waters!

at least you got your first book out there. I'm stuck writing book one. Its like ugh... Don't want to write no more... its not even a long book either -.-

My first one was quite short. Will be releasing my next one soon!

Hey man, keep after it and you will do just fine. I have found that writing about my interests has been pretty easy (non fiction, educational niche). What are you an authority on? What's your passion? It will make the words come out much easier.

Also, start with an outline (like a list, people like lists) and address a specific question. Of course, this is the idea especially with nonfiction.

Learn good formatting and cover design ad you'll be there in no time.
