My First Instagram Journey

Hey everyone! So, I've been following this forum quite a bit in the last few months and after starting my blog in the money niche, I decided it was a bit too much for me for the moment and i'd want to try and start my own Instagram account. Keep in mind, I've never used Instagram in the past, so it should be interesting.

My goal: Reach at least 10k followers and try to sell shoutouts eventually. I'll be doing this all manually, as i dont want to spend on bots honestly. I'll mostly monetize it through shoutouts and possibly by redirecting my followers to a site where i'd be promoting amazon affiliates or clickbank products (not sure about this yet).

I'll probably be posting every few days, so keep an eye out for this! I started yesterday morning and I'm currently at 342 followers.
My strategy as of now is to follow around 100 or so people every hour. I usually just go on bigger accounts and just follow the people who like their pictures and generally a decent amount of people follow me back. I try to post 2-3 pictures per day, usually spread out.

What my plans for today are: Try to keep following ~100people/hour
Try to get a shoutout from other accounts (Free one, even if i know this will be hard to do, but i'm trying not to spend money).
Play with the limits a bit more, try to figure out more or less how many people i can follow/unfollow per hour without getting banned.

Day 1 update :

Followers: 696 (+354)

I think I could've gotten way more honestly, but unfortunately somehow I got banned at like 8 pm. I was following around 100-200 people per hour, for like a few hours until I followed like 50 people in one hour and somehow got banned, it was really weird because for the past 9h or so I had been following 100-200 every hour. I followed a total of approximately 1500 people in the entire day, so I'm not sure if it's because of this ? Maybe 1500 a day is my limit? Anyone have any information on this, would be great! Thanks

If its a new account, you should follow less i mean like 300-400 per day. and from my experience you should not do follow and unfollow at same day. Ig is strict now a days. So once the account is aged you can follow more.

Even if I do it manually? I had read somewhere in the forums that if I did it manually I could follow around 50 people per hour

Day 2 Update:

Followers: 1162 (+466)

Pretty happy with today's results honestly! I managed to not get a temp ban today. I decided that I'd stop following people when i had reached a daily value of 1.3k people which i followed. Tomorrow should be a pretty slow day, don't expect any kind of value as good as today's because I have school for most of the day as well as having to go to the hospital. So keep in touch everyone, I'll try to update you guys tomorrow night to see how the progress goes. I'm planning on unfollowing people in a few days to drop my following count a bit.

Thanks for the tip! do you have any idea how many times one can be temp banned before being perma banned?

Another quick update:Followers: 1532 (+370)

Wasn't a bad day, but much slower than yesterday due to some complications. Although, I'm following a lot of people so i'm planning to have one to two of the upcoming days dedicated entirely to unfollowing people. Keep watching guys! Slowly but surely building up. If we keep up this pace, we should reach 10k followers in a month at the maximum!

Day 4 Update:
Followers: 1706 (+174)

Hey everyone, today has been really bad compared to my previous updates. I mean, 174 followers isn't bad, but nowhere near what I was averaging. 2 main reasons to this:

1. I had school through out the day
2. I was unfollowing people only today. (Didn't follow anyone at all)

I was following around 4500 people, and had 1500 followers roughly, i figured it looked kinda bad and my followers to following ratio would look much better if i would simply start unfollowing people before i follow anyone again. Unfortunately i've gotten banned again, but it seems to me that the follow/unfollow limits for my account anyways are set at approximately 1500 per day. So now i'll now. Anyways, tomorrow will probably be an unfollow day again, so keep an eye out for that tomorrow.

Finally, does anyone have any suggestions on how i could unfollow people, but not accidentally follow them back again later? Thanks for the input everyone!

Day 5 Update:
Followers: 1738 (+32)


Worst day yet, didn't even hit 50. Although, I'm honestly not really disappointed. I had to unfollow people all day because I'm following too many people. Tomorrow will most likely be an unfollowing day once again and i should be able to hit close to 0 in my followings. This will give me a much better ratio of followers to following. Then i plan on following people friday/saturday/sunday through most of the day ~1500 per day and hope for good results. (Definitely hoping for 300+ followers, even optimistic for more.)
