I just managed to get a new client today for my writing services. They want me to promote their website through articles. I need advise on where they can post the articles I write. Am used to working for content mills so i didnt really care where such articles were posted. Where can this client post their content? On their website? on a blog? or article directories? I need some advice ASAP. Am a good writer so am not scared of article quality not meeting their standards

You can post it to Article directories, Web 2.0 sites, Guest Posting. Depends on really where your client wants the articles to be posted.

Promotion with the help of content creation is very effective these days, for posting articles there are many places such as:

top article directories
top web 2.0 sites
top forums
Blogs that allow guest blogging
 
First web 2.0 which have an huge traffic like Squidoo and Hubpages. Second articles directories like Ezine, Articledashboard etc, Third Press Release if you promoting your client brand or business and Fourth is Social Networking sites like Facebook, Twitter.
 
Once you write any article make sure to add in to your own websites blog or article section and then spread that articles at various article directories, blog posting, web 2.0 properties.
 
Are you a writer or an SEO? They aren't the same job. Tell your client that if he wants advice on where to shop the work you do for him you'll have to charge him more.
