Hello everyone!

I have just finished my first complete CSS website. It's a basic portfolio site, just more of a mockup, i don't have any intentions to start creating websites for people with my mediocre skills yet. It took me about four hours in total (first time coding a site like this, tableless). What do you think of both the design and coding? is there anything i can improve on?

Yeah dude all up its a nice basic job. If you're looking to sell designs and do it as a job you'll want to use some design elements like buttons, better banners and the background colour is disgusting, have like a gradient they always look nice.

It's pretty basic, you should use examples from existing sites, it still looks kinda plain

I'm not much of a designer, but you might want to consider making sure your markup is 100% valid and fix all the little errors:

It's also always a good idea to check out your site at browsershots.org, to make sure everything floats the way you want it to in regards to certain browsers.

I agree with Grizzy. For a portfoilio it looks pretty organized and I think this is a pretty good site for your first try. Good Job..

I think it's really good for your first try, nice one.

Anyways, I think you could tighten down a few things in your code and also in your page, but really if this is your first try then you did an amazing job. Keep up the good work, you will be thankful -- some good money in website developing.

Clean,simple....elegant but not godd for make conversion of sales....
Where is the button for buying service?....but so far is good..try
More design on header...make some proffesinal...you will got conversion

I guess, that as facebookdude suggested your next move should be to integrate buttons and icons so it can look like a "more professional" site visually, in terms of the layout I think it's greatly organized.. keep it up

Nice work, its a good job for a first timer. Nice clean code, you named everything nicely so you can find anything. The design sucks monkeyballs though, but im sure you will get much better. Try making the container bigger than 800px, everybody likes more fluid pages. Rounded corners are always nicer looking. Try getting templates for design, mix and match stuff. In the world of the internet you will find the best stuff are usually copied and enhanced on.
