So I joined BHW months ago and mostly forgot about the site, however, in January I decided that 2018 is the year I make my dreams of making a comfortable living online come true.

Bit about myself without getting too specific, consider this my intro and first journal all in one thread.

I'm a 40 something stay at home dad, I live in Australia and am married with 4 kids, my wife has a fairly cushy government job that pays the bills and allows us to get by, however I want more than just to get by, I want the money to do whatever I want when I want instead of just getting by and finding free or cheap means of entertainment to kill time.

I spent the last month lurking hard, reading a lot of threads and trying to absorb as much information as possible, I procrastinated for a while on exactly what and how I was going to start making money and this morning I finally extracted my finger from my ass and used it to pull the trigger on my first money making venture for years.

Shoutout to @mancar487 for his threads in the Clickbank section of the forum and his short PDF guide that he made available for free download.

I have taken his advice on choosing a product with a gravity between 5 and 25 to cut my teeth on before I try to compete with the big boys in a hyper saturated niche.

I'm going with a Micro Niche Site, steps taken so far, literally starting this today, it's 10:20am here as I write this and have only spent about an hour up to now. What I have done so far is...

  • Purchased a domain for my MNS, found a short brandable .com domain with the major keyword in it, not going to try to compete with SEO however as this niche is completely dominated by big authorities, eg webmd. Hell even the wikipedia page doesn't rank in the top 5 so I doubt I'm going to get much SEO traction at all. Instead I will be promoting via social media and eventually once the infrastructure is in page will try some PPC via Bing and Facebook.
  • Grabbed the Instagram handle for my site.
  • Created a Facebook page for my site and have uploaded a free stock image as the cover photo for each.
  • Created a quick about page for the site, wrote a short story about how I have been suffering from this medical affliction, I tried a bunch of mainstream remedies but none of them really worked, and then one day I found (clickbank product).
  • Knocked up a quick blog header for free at Canva.

To do list.

  • Install Wordpress, add the header and about page, install a few "essential" plugins, YOAST, Tinypng, Akismet (don't want you guys spamming me :D) Contact form. That's about it, don't want to go overboard on plugins and bog down my site that's sitting on shared hosting for now.
  • Start writing some articles, I'm a bit out of practice at writing but think I'm ok enough at it that I can write my own content fairly quickly, will mostly just take competitions content (what little there is) and rewrite it, and possibly improve on it.
  • Get a free mailchimp account, and set up a basic email sequence (vendor has provided some emails, so will use or rewrite that stuff and maybe add some of my own)
  • Lot's of other stuff that I will work out as I go.

Goals for this

At first I just want to get one conversion without having to pay for it, will grind out Facebook, IG and Pinterest at first, once I get a conversion or 2 I will look at reinvesting back into the site via some PPC traffic.

Mid term goal is 3 sales per day which should = roughly $100

After that will evaluate whether I can scale this site up or leave it on autopilot and start another site with a different product.

I think I've written enough for now, time to start working.

Wish you all the best! Never stop trying, good luck, will be following this ;)

Hell yeah, I`m also in health condition niche and started site Last monday.
we can do this!

People would say clickbank died.....but believe me, it would work as long as people would want to stay healthy LOL...good luck :)

1st of all best of luck & keep update I like you journey goals.
specially 3 sales per day.

Glad you found my info useful buddy :)
You've got a good clear plan - I wish you best of luck in your journey!

Ok been kinda floundering about a little bit.

Found 93% off a Udemy course for promoting Clickbank products via Bing ads so spent a day going through that course.

Have signed up for Getresponse, got a 30 day free trial so have a month to play around with list building, hit a slight snag on first day and got my account limited due to "suspicious activity" hadn't sent a single email or added anyone to any lists so suspect it was because I signed in via a VPN, sent the requested ID so waiting for that to be lifted before I can start list building.

Created a Bing ads account, put $50 into the account and started a PPC campaign direct linking to the clickbank offer with a $5 per day budget and a fairly low bid, not getting impressions yet so waiting to see if it's just a delay thing or if my bid is too low or my new account might be under manual review.

Created a facebook page named {clickbank product} review, haven't done anything with it yet however.

Have an Instagram account for the niche, have been manually warming it up by following the followers of any accounts in my niche or tangetially related to it. Up to 60 followers so far, haven't created any posts yet.

$0 earned so far
