Good to see this churn and burn journey moving forward gtull2. Sorry to hear about your negative experience building the authority site you tried previously. Keep working your models, and let's see you hit this one out of the park!
Keep us updated!
Thanks for the kind words of encouragement Davers. Very appreciated.
On the Shopify site......
I've ordered a good bit of links to it in the last couple of days. I also bought two pbn network packages that I shared a few days ago.
I ordered
this one about 3 days ago. I sent him a message yesterday explaining that the site was new and I was looking for some cheap diversity links to go with his order. I asked if he had anything. His response was that my site was new with no links, and the domain wasn't owned by me. So he cancelled my order. Pretty shitty in my opinion. He could have told me that he had a problem with the site. I would have happily given him one of the 50 or so other sites I have to link to. Instead he just rejects it after 3 days and sends a refund. Then he blows off my reply and ignores it.
I've bought more than my share of services here. I've seen it all. I have bought from one of the most respected members here, and his service was complete bullshit. I have had some really good experiences too though. Whatever... I'll put my big boy pants on.
He did point out that it was for his pbn network security, and I get that. I just would have gone about it different. But... I'm just a customer, and it's his gig.
Because of that bs I decided to tell
this guy that I ordered pbn links from the situation. I didn't want him coming to me in 2 weeks saying "sorry, we can't link to you because your site sucks". He was cool with it. He recommended that I get diversity links asap. I told him I was doing so, and that was that.
On the Shopify site I have increased the daily ad budget to $100. I got limited by budget yesterday at $50, so I bumped it. I also had a Bing rep really hook me up with some intel. I am still tweaking and testing, but I think I am pretty close to a fairly well optimized campaign. The roi is still ridiculous. I am looking at ramping it up fast with Adwords in the next week or so. My goal is to be on a daily spend budget of $200 + within the next few weeks. I would still like to hire someone to look over my campaigns...
Last time I said I would talk about Shopify more. Well the first one I did focused on cat jewelry. I was dropshipping from Ali. It sucked. I got a few ppc sells here and there, but meh... It wasn't right.
So I knew that I needed to try another Shopify store. I have had this idea in my head for a really long time. I decided to go for it and see what happened. I was shocked at the immediate sells on high $ items ($$$)! I thought it was a fluke, but it wasn't.
The bounce rate is the lowest I have ever seen on anything I've done. The time on site and pages viewed is ridiculous. I am watching people stay on site for over 30 minutes, with an average of over 7 minutes. I am seeing people visit an average of 6 + pages. I have never made anything that got anywhere near this response. Most of my sites see 1 page views in like 5 seconds. This is 100% different.
I won't do anything to share the niche, but I can describe the customers. They are mainly old females that are a bit nuts. Think "crazy cat lady" and you are on the right track.
I can also say that I am charging roughly 3 times as much for this service compared to any other ppc advertisers. I am also including my inflated price in the ad copy. I am getting away with this, I think, because of a few things:
1- My site looks better than anyone else's. Theirs are from the 90's.
2- People are given my phone number, email, and can live chat with me directly from the site. That makes me way more trustworthy than any other seller.
3- I am live chatting with visitors when they hit the site. At 20 seconds a live chat pops up asking if they have any questions. My son is helping me with this because I don't have that much time. I would say that 1/3 of all visitors chat back. I am able to sell them the service in chat. I have had many customers that I know for a fact wouldn't have bought it f not for the live chat.
4- I go above and beyond with the service. While everyone else is doing X, I am doing X Y and Z. It is perceived as being an "over the top" service.
5- I am already getting repeat customers. A few have told me that they just like talking to me, so they want to buy something else/more.
So, yep I am having fun with this Shopify. If I don't screw it up, this can become pretty serious within weeks.
I guess this was a rant post. I'll update the Site #1 (the reason for this journey) next time. Thanks for reading.
