My first Amazon Affiliate journey [aIM: 350$+ in a month]

Hello everyone,

I'm an old (relatively) user of BHW. Have been reading the forums for over years now, but actually became more active and engaged in the community only for few recent months.

I have read tonnes of information on here, have been following several dozens of journey threads and not only.
As I am/was having some steady passive income from YouTube+AdSense, I wasn't that much motivated to do much more due to always being busy IRL. And moreover, I am having an 8-5 job, plus Freelancing projects from the UK, therefore never felt that much lack of money.
In short, my shortage of the motivation to act is the main concern for me and that is what I am aiming now to solve!

As for the experience, I have 5+ years of Digital Marketing experience, been working in a world-known advertising agency. Have the advanced technical knowledge of building websites in Wordpress and not only. Have the copyrighting skills as that's what I do on my free times when I am freelancing (not website content, though).

BUT

I AM/WAS LACKING the motivation TO ACT as the most of the people here, I bet. And as well as - lack of TIME. Therefore, as I have accumulated more than enough knowledge/experience as well as money, I am going to start with Amazon Affiliate journey.

Doing this on here, I have a hope to be organised and feel the responsibility at some point to update the thread, thus keep moving and stay motivated/active. Moreover, I hope for your feedbacks/encouragements. I will also share my knowledge, experience, fails/successes throughout the journey.

Let's talk business now.
So what I have and have done so far:
- ORDERED 1 Micro Niche Amazon Site from BHW marketplace (I decided to do so just because as I am lacking the time and experience, I preferred to pay money to have it designed. Moreover, it will come with 1000+ homepage words as well as 5 separate product reviews. That's something. Price is cheap as well, got it discounted. I won't use their keyword though but provide mine, but will save it for maybe next amazon website If I like service) - 55.69Eur
- COM domain Namecheap - 10.59Eur (Domain Privacy+PositiveSSL)
- Hosting - I have a yearly plan on eHost which I bought for other projects, therefore, I don't need to buy any new but will still count the price - 12Eur for a year (Perfect price, ha? )
- Bought a keyword - same for a keyword, I purchased it a few weeks ago. its BEST [niche] (two words) from BHW marketplace as well. - Can't recall exact price in Euros but was somewhere like 17Eur. Local USA search 2400. 30KC. Came with hundreds of long tail keywords as well with top10 competitors analysis.

Stuff to do:
- Set domain to hosting and get the Wordpress up.
- Provide a keyword(s) as well as Wordpress Admin credentials to the website designer .
- Examine some good ways and BHW SEO service providers which will help me on initial off-page SEO. Could you please help me with this? any ideas/suggestions are welcome
- Find a reliable and quality content writer. I will still see about this if I like the content provided on the website. I hope I will do. If I do, they have pretty fair prices on articles. 4$/500 words. In fact,
I was going to write articles myself, but as I am lacking time for now, I guess I will still need a help with it.
- and Finally waits for the website to arrive. Not much I can do before it does
I bet I will make some modifications to the design as per my wish.

So far:
EXPENSES: 95Eur
REVENUE: 0Eur

I will keep this thread updated.

P.S. I bet, reading my words about the lack of motivation/acting, there will be a lot of users who will find him/herself in those words. Thus follow up with the journey and maybe start you own along the way?!

UPDATE:
Set the Wordpress up and provided login credentials and keyword list to the website creator.
Only thing left is to wait now until it's finished and do some SEO-related reseach in between.

UPDATE:
Website creation + content writing has been started. Should be finished in the next 5 days.
Currently also thinking of creating the video for YouTube

Could you please share some Initial Essential off-page SEO to kick in rankings? any BHW service maybe, from your own experience

To get started with off-page seo - create social profiles on all the major social networks, facebook, twitter, ig, g+, etc. Create manual web2.0s with unique articles (up to 3 pages per web2.0). Blast all the links you have created so-far. And continue with adding content to your website. In a month or two, your website/keyword(s) will be in the top 50.

@T2tkid Thank you! Those were exactly what I was going to do on the initial stage, however, I thought to get some more of these by outsourcing, thus, finding the proper and relevant service on BHW marketplace.

@lorentzo @hero76 Currently, I will not share it unless I'm satisfied with the website I get. It's still in the process of creation and should be finished in about 3-4 days. Then if I like, I will share some info on them

UPDATE
I am still waiting for the website to be completed, therefore, nothing much to do.
Furthermore, I just got 4 big academic assignments ordered, therefore very busy with them. (Really good money, couldn't deny lol), therefore, I guess, apart from some basic SEO stuff, I will outsource the rest. But still, will see this once the website is finished. not ordering anything yet.

As for the content update, I am going to order 1-5 articles to update the blog each week. Could anyone advise, what might be good and proper quantity of article update per week? I was thinking and 1 or 2 articles (spcific product review) should be good per week to add. but maybe few more on the initial stage - first 1-2 months to fill up the website with content.
In short, still need to decide about this.

most of the micro niche site creators here on bhw uses low quality content that is not intended for the readers resulting in less converting site. Don't go for content that offers $1/100 words etc. you'll get badly written content there. You pay peanuts, you get peanuts.

I am aware of that, but I have a possibility to choose. As far as I am lacking the time, I wanted to order the website anyway. The content is included, so why not. However, I will pay the biggest attention to pillar article on the homepage.It has to be perfect.

I purchased it as well. Would've never been able to do that deep analysis as the seller did, to be honest.

have you tried putting the keywords on keywordrevealer to check their competition? If you're happy with the keyword service let us know who is the seller

Hi. Yes, it gave the same details.
I'm happy with the Keyword provider. Will share his details in this thread after some time.

UPDATE
The website is almost finished. There is just some stuff remaining. I'd say, the guy building it is very helpful. Overall, the website looks decent. I won't change much about it, just some design tweaks and that's it.

As for the content, I am a bit disappointed. The main page 1000 word content is somewhere 5-6/10, which I am not satisfied with, therefore, I guess, I will order 2000+ words good Buying Guide from someone as I consider the first page should be the best for conversion.
The other 5articles (product reviews) are somewhat normal, 8/10, therefore, at the moment, I will leave them and maybe will improve them myself. I still have to look at my schedule.

Overall, that's the news I have right now. Still waiting for the completion and report. After that, I will take care of the content. I want it to be best.
