hi all

so i am now going to start my first ever project. i wont say what the it will be relation to just yet, but one thing for sure it will be on wordpress.

i plan to write blogs, reviews etc... and then hope for the best.

so far i am seeing too many hosts advertising. i just want a reliable solution.

please no small firms, or anywhere i can risk losing my data. somewhere that works and i know can stay long term.

any popular choices here?? at least 5 year established.

It depends on your location where to find a good host. Hostgator is good but if you target people from germany the response time is too long. Tell me where you want to go and maybe I can help you

nowadays, we all have fast internet, 4g everywhere, does location really matter?
 
Yes it maters if the servers are in asia and you try to go on the website from europe it will take longer

YES location matters, if servers are from asia and your target audience are in asia too, website will load "fast". GOOGLE LOVES SPEED.:p

Hostgator is good? Are you crazy? Hostgator is a worst hosting. Check for their company, they own a lot of hostings providers. There no exist such "unlimited space" etc. They will suspend you when you use to much bandwidth, space etc.

I don't recommend to anyone, go away from these kinde of hosting.

I recommend you go with buyshared.net or Blazingfast.io they are great providers, but be careful with the package you will choose.

Buyshared before buy, you need to have Paypal verified and your information should match with your information you have on your account, this is required due to avoid any fraud.

Blazingfast is amazing, you don't need to worry with that. But of course Buyshared is more cheap.
 
I am on Host Stage for years and can really recommend to take hosting there. They even have here thread on marketplace.
 
Even if you go with a Big company I recommend that you take a back up at least once a month. If you are doing daily post do it once a week. No matter who the host is there is always a chance for data loss.

And someone recommended bluehost, which is the same company lol!
 
Advise, do your homework BEFORE you pick your hosting provider.
Check out the BHW market and the reviews.
