I actually had an idea recently about monetizing my specific fanfiction crowd via Patreon actually. I have a lot of very loyal adult readers, but there's the problem of not being able to directly sell the works for obvious reasons. I was thinking of offering maybe 50% of any chapters I write on the sites I use and then offer the rest to patrons. If you're going to read up to half a multi chapter story, you're gonna wanna know the end!

I do anime/hentai works. The courses I got were mostly in copywriting and marketing, but since the coupons were limited they are probably not free anymore. Just check the downloads section for stuff like that!

Can you tell more about Patreon? I've checked it out, is it sort of comparable to Etsy? But then for digital items? So people pay an amount each month and get unlimited access to my files based on the type of subscription?

Since a few months I'm active with custom work too (Instructions in PDF) and want to setup a subscription based model for these items. Seems an interesting way to start out while building my own membersite in the meantime.

I guess you could say it's like that. To me it seems like a big part of the experience is contact with the Creators. If you have something that people are passionate about and you can talk to them regularly, I think Patreon would be a good choice.

So after some time has passed @Yildiz 's comment about malicious users on here has kinda gotten to me. There are a lot of people barely interacting with me besides just outright demanding my Twitter handle.

It's a little concerning now, so I will tighten up on who I give it out to. It's just gotten a little creepy feeling is all :/

That sounds wise. Since you do that adult art I have a question where you always doing that type of art if not do you think you ended up getting more loyal followers as a result as I know sakimichan for instance makes a bomb on pateron and I have been considering doing that type

I've always done it on the side just for my own enjoyment, but tried to keep it mostly hidden from my usual crowd. It's too soon to say anything about follower loyalty, but I do think that a SFW Patreon wouldn't have gotten so much attention, especially this soon. There are people who go nearly a year without even 1 sub and I'm already up to 3 with an extremely small following compared to most.

I would say go for the adult art if you truly like it, because Patreon takes a lot of time and attention. It is not something you can autopilot so make sure it doesn't make you miserable!

Any plans on opening an instagram account?

Alright thanks thought as much have had aims to go into the concept art industry for a while and I did enjoy drawing naked women at life drawing recently until I had to move so I think its possible lol. Will probably just go under another alias and build up from their for a bit.

Definitely. I want to build up the Patreon and Twitter for a little while first so I will have a steady stream of images to post to Instagram in the future. Thinking of splitting a Jarvee subscription with another artist friend c:

My advice is that don't use bots, the new instagram algorithm detects botted account easily, it will lower your reach

Even though I only launched my art Patreon 3 days ago, today I got my first patron, who chose to pay me $5 per month!

The person came from Twitter (where I currently have only like 38 followers ). The thing is that I haven't even used any IM skills yet or even advertised my page. I literally just posted the link in my Twitter bio and was preparing some incentives to drive some traffic towards me later this week.

Now I'm going back to the free Udemy courses I got from here to make my Patreon and Twitter profiles more appealing and hopefully grab more patrons and followers! May post a journey about it.
